Five people in modesto is in dud in san jose. 30yearold Martin Martinez caught in the south bay this morning after a statewide manhunt. Reporter 30yearold mar contain martinez, as you mentioned, is behind bars right now here at Santa Clara County jail. Last night, police launched a statewide manhunt for him. Today he was arrested this morning, at a parking lot in oak ridge mall. Martin martinez is accused of killing five people in this modesto home. Relatives say one of the victims is dr. Amanda cruz a physician withstand slaus county Health Service agency. Relatives say he also killed his own daughter a six month old daughter he fathered with cruz. Right now police are not releasing the names of the victims, just their ages. We have identified that all the victims inside are female. All of them are related. Reporter neighbors here in modesto tell me the people who lived in that house right there were not always very approachable but a they were nonetheless shocked when police descended on the street last night. Theyre even more shocked to find out that one of the victims, the youngest one in there, was the child of the person of interest in this murder. We also learned a few other details about the four other victims found dead inside. According to her family dr. Amanda crews a physician with the county Health System its one of the victims. One of her former colleagues tells me at least two of the children also found inside were hers. Police were called to this neighborhood yesterday just after 3 30 to perform a Security Check and thats when officers found the five bodies inside two women ask three children the youngest six moanings old the oldes six year old.
