Oakland at 45. 45 for san jose. As we look to our afternoon we will see plenty of sunshine and those mild temperatures above average. 62 in San Francisco. Mid60ss for san jose and concord. Three to eight degrees above average. We will talk about the rest of the week coming up and now lets check in with a look at traffic and some patchy fog out there this morning. We are see something of that fog on the san mateo bridge near the toll plaza. I do want to start off with ia trouble spot in brentwood, chp has issued a Traffic Alert on vasco road this is due to a deadly accident so that investigation will take some time. The closure will be out for quite some time. Highway 4. Its completely shut down until further notice. It was a two car crash that happened around 3 45. Use alternates in the meantime.

Yes, we are seeing that in the south bay as well as other parts of the bay area as we wake up, take a look at our live camera in san jose. Its foggy and its chilly so we are going to see that for the next couple of hours and then turning very mild as we go into the afternoon with some sunshine. Taking a look at our breezy winds picking up for tomorrow. We are going to stay dry in the forecast as we start out with some cold temperatures and the fog this morning. Fresh will be restricted to take out and delivery only, and retail capacity will be reduced to 20 . The governor also slapped a statewide ban on nonessential travel. The bottom line is if we dont act now, our Hospital System will be overwhelmed. There is light at the end of the tunnel. The fda could approve pfizers vaccine as early as next week. Dr. Tom freeden explained how the cdc is going to decide who gets priority. How many lives are you going to save . Second is what is fair . What is the fair way to do it. The third is, how can we do this openly, transparentally so no backroom deals. Groups with high priority include people in Nursing Homes and essential workers and although a vaccine may be approved soon, the Vaccine Program may face some bumps in the road. When you vaccinate millions of people, some people get sick after the vaccination and you dont know whether that was the vaccine or coincidence. A cold one again . Yeah, its cold and its foggy, so were seeing the combination of two things well have to deal with heading out the door this morning. This is a live look outside in san jose and for the most part weve seen the visibility looking a little bit better near the ground level in the south bay but higher up weve seen some of those low clouds rolling by. We will see this clearing out for a mild day and theres still dry weather in the forecast, so well talk about that coming up.
