Tigers To Wrap Up Fall Schedule At Auburn Invite

CLEMSON, S.C. – Women's tennis is wrapping up their final tournament for the fall season at the Auburn Invite hosted by the Auburn Tigers this weekend, November 3-5th. The event is set in a hidden dual format.Two Clemson Tigers are set to compete this weekend: Sophie Hatton and Alina Tsyurpalevych. Hatton and Tsyurpalevych are coming off a great run at the ITA Regional Championships in doubles, winning 8-2. Tsyurpalevych also had a great run in singles, defeating Thomas of Furman University 7-5, 6-3.“We are excited to go compete at Auburn this weekend,” Head Coach Boomer Saia said,  “Sophia and Alina have put in some really good work this last 2 weeks and we are looking to finish the fall strong and build off what we have learned!”On Friday, doubles begin at 1 p.m. CT, followed directly by singles. Halden, Relays Win Gold at Auburn Invite

  AUBURN, Ala.  –  The No.16/NR Florida State swimming and diving teams opened competition at the Auburn Invite on Friday. The Seminoles won five relays and Jenny Halden captured gold in the 100 fly behind a season-best of 52.65. “Today was a fun day,” FSU head coach Neal Studd said. “We had some good swims and great team vibe. We’re looking forward to another opportunity tomorrow.” The women’s team finished first behind Brooke Arnold, Ariana Ottavianelli, Ashley Zettle and Des Lewis at 1:35.44 in the 200 free relay to start the meet. Arnold turned in her season best in the 500 free, finishing in fifth place with a time of 4:55.46. Ashley Zettle placed ninth at 5:09.51. Sydney Cole followed with a personal best in the 200 IM, touching at 2:03.50 for fourth place ahead of Syndey Boals in eighth at 2:04.34.
