March 14, 2021 GAINESVILLE, Fla. – The No. 20 University of Arkansas women’s tennis team dropped a 4-0 decision at No. 29 Florida on Sunday. With the loss, the Razorbacks drop to 10-3 on the season and 4-3 in Southeastern Conference play. In doubles play, Arkansas had the lead on both courts one and three before Florida rallied back to win on both and clinch the doubles point for the Gators. On court one, No. 28 duo Lauren Alter and Tatum Rice took a 4-3 match lead, sweeping the fourth game point from No. 26 McCartney Kessler and Marlee Zein. Kessler and Zein used three-straight game points to take the set 6-3. ....

March 11, 2021 FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – The No. 20 University of Arkansas women’s tennis team returns to action this weekend, at South Carolina on Friday, March 12 and at Florida on Sunday, March 14. “Every match for us is a great physical and mental opportunity in this league, so I’m really looking forward to this weekend being on the road,” said head women’s tennis coach Courtney Steinbock. “Competing in the SEC, you will always have good, tough, quality opponents so we see this weekend as just another opportunity for us to continue to gauge where we’re at, both individually and collectively. We had a great win against Vandy and just didn’t have enough in the tank against Kentucky. I have no doubt we will regroup, reset and respond.” ....
March 10, 2021 FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. Sophomore Kelly Keller becomes the third recipient and first Razorback of the newly established SEC Newcomer of the Week honor. This is the fourth weekly SEC award for the University of Arkansas women’s tennis team in seven weeks. The SEC Newcomer of the Week will be awarded this year only to honor a player who had their freshman campaign interrupted by the global pandemic. The Razorbacks are 10-1 on the season after defeating No. 11 Vanderbilt (4-3) on Friday and falling to Kentucky (1-4) on Sunday. Keller helped lead Arkansas to its best start since 2005, clinching their 10th-straight victory and upsetting No. 11 Vanderbilt after battling back in a first set loss to defeat Emma Kurtz in the No. 2 position, 4-6, 6-3, 6-3. ....
Jessica Roberson March 5, 2021 FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – The No. 23 Razorback women’s tennis team claimed an upset over Southeastern Conference foe, No. 9 Vanderbilt 4-3 on Friday afternoon at the Billingsley Tennis Center. The win moves Arkansas to 10-0 on the year while Vanderbilt falls to 10-2 overall. Junior Laura Rijkers clinched the win for Arkansas with an exhilarating three-set victory over Vanderbilt’s Marcella Cruz on court six. After falling to Cruz 7-6 (5) in the first set, Rijkers fought back for an impressive 6-7 (5), 7-6 (5), 6-4 comeback. Sophomore Kelly Keller and Rijkers gave Arkansas an early advantage in doubles play as they won their match against Vanderbilt’s Christina Rosca and Anessa Lee, 6-4. Freshmen pair Indianna Spink and Morgan Cross were leading on court two 5-4, but Commodores Emma Kurtz and Cruz forced the match into a tiebreaker set where the Razorbacks ultimately fell 7-6 (5). ....
