crews raided an apartment and came away with potentially eskimosive chemicals. police are looking for 22-year-old ryan chamberlain. jody is live in san francisco with more. jodi? terry, the fbi says they uncovered explosive materials from inside the san frn apartment here. they do not know if he still has any of the same type of materials on him, but as you said, he is still considered armed and dangerous. now, take a look at the man the fbi is looking for. he is 42-year-old ryan kelly chamberlain the second. we are told he he was last seen yesterday south of san francisco driving a white 2008 nissan altima. fbi agent and hazardous materials investigators spent all day yesterday at chamberlain s apartment. they are quiet about what they found inside but said it was explosive. they have sent the material to the lab in kwan co-. according to chamberlain s social media website he worked as a social media consultant and also has experience in political campaigns. i talked to th
called in sick. they say they re upset with ongoing contract talks. chris sanchez joins us live from china basin with how the mta and union is responding. chris, you could say it was a train wreck of a commute, but really not enough trains for that to happen. reporter: you know, a lot of the things that are parked are the cable cars. a lot of disappointed tourists this morning, but also a lot of frustrated people who could not get to work on time because of that stalling in the talks. a lot of them waiting a very long time to get onto those cars, and many of those cars packed like sardines. it sucks. reporter: he s just one of the many commuters caught in the middle of the labor talks between muni operators and the san francisco metropolitan transportation authority. two-thirds of muni operators did not show up for work today. more operators called in sick. we re trying to adjust the best we can to provide service across the city. i ll definitely be late to work. bu
and i saw the haz mat vehicle, ffrl. reporter: men in haz mat suits rushed in and out of the apartment all day and say they found illegal explosives. i want to harp on the fact there s no threat to public safety. reporter: now the search shifts from the apartment to the man who lives there, 42- year-old ryan chamberlain, 6 3 , 225 pounds, considering armed and dangerous. but that prish patricia bar low, whose office shares a wall with him he was always extremely pleasant, very polite. reporter: our research those chamberlain was socially and politically active in san francisco, working on several political campaigns, once running for offices himself and part of the russian hill neighborhood association. if you have any sort of fight fighting, you know him sighting, if you know him, please let us know. reporter: the f.b.i. believes chamberlain is acting alone on the move and too dangerous to approach. patricia bar low said that in no way the same neighbor s
