Very intense Hazardous Materials response out here today. As you said, several people had to be decontaminated and we have learned the chemicals were identified and taken care of. But because theres still a police investigation, officials did not say exactly what those chemicals were, but guests who were out are headed back in. In san jose, hazmat teams work to decontaminate nine people, mostly workers who were exposed to a chemical, and odors some said smelled of rotten eggs in the fairmont. Some of them were complaining of feeling faint, heat leaded, short of breath. None of them appeared to be lifethreatening at the time they were transported. First, some of the latest numbers we have for you. And this unfortunately is not over. We started this around 5 40 this afternoon, continues into this evening. The gunman several rounds, several victims, and there might be a second suspect on the loose right now. That initial first suspect, the suspected shooter has been shot and killed. This is happening right there at the annual festival, something that the bay area has celebrated more than 40 years now. Within the last hour, investigators did hold the news conference. Back to that breaking news we were telling you about which we have been following for more than nearly 12 hours now, the deadly shooting rampage at the gilroy garlic festival. This happened a little before 6 00 last night, at the Christmas Hill park where that festival has been going on for decad decades. Here is the latest. Three people dead including a 6yearold boy, and were just getting an update on the number of people injured. Gilroy police are now saying 12 people were hurt. Police responded in less than a minute, and killed the gunman. Hes not been identified but sources tell our Investigative Unit the gunman was not on anyones radar as a threat. Witnesses talked about a possible second person involved but authorities are still trying to sort that out. There was an extensive search last night.
