Anthony Albanese and Chris Bowen are dragging Labor away from workers

Federal Labor leader Anthony Albanese and Shadow Energy Minister Chris Bowen are “dragging Labor away” from the workers they “used to represent,” according to Energy Minister Angus Taylor. During Question Time on Tuesday, Mr Taylor touted the Morrison Government’s investments and action to deliver affordable, reliable energy to Australians. He cited decreasing wholesale prices as evidence the government’s energy plan is working, but noted there needs to be continued “downward” pressure on those prices. “That means, more supply into the marketplace, particularly as we lose coal-fired generators”. According to Mr Taylor, the alternative to the Morrison Government’s energy plan is “the leader of the opposition and the member for McMahon”. “The two of them are dragging Labor away from the workers they used to represent,” he said.

Mr Fitzgibbon says Ms McKay isn t to blame for the loss and that Labor s brand is the problem. I won t have a bad word said about Jodi McKay, he told ABC TV on Monday.

Federal Labor MP caught up in eliminate Israel social media post

"Eliminate Israel" is the aspiration of Hamas and other terrorist groups and their backers in Iran, says Sky News host Chris Kenny. The remarks come after a federal Labor MP allegedly posed in a Melbourne University ALP club picture which "parroted" the slogan of Hamas on the bottom line: "From the river to the sea, Palestine will be free". "For a Federal Labor MP to be associated with this, and for a University Labor group to spout it, is truly disgusting," Mr Kenny said. "When objections were raised, they deleted the post - but it is hard to delete such awful hatred and extremist goals - which is why the conflict so often seems intractable." Mr Kenny went on to speak about the issue of anti-Semitism with the Australasian Union of Jewish Students' Gabi Stricker-Phelps. Discussing recent anti-Semitic remarks on an online university forum, Ms Stricker-Phelps said there was "no doubt" about its anti-Semitism. "I

Labor plays down the Coalition s major win | Sky News Australia

Deputy Opposition Leader Richard Marles has played down the Coalition's major win in the Upper Hunter by-election, saying the result will not have implications federally. New South Wales Labor has not conceded defeat in the Upper Hunter yet but the National Party looks set to retain the seat. Mr Marles told Sky News linking the result to Federal Labor would be an over-reaction. The Deputy Labor Leader also denied internal splits over the new Kuri Kuri gas plant played a role in his party's defeat and said divisions over coal and gas are not a concern for Labor going forward.
