have that time announced, the public might think that would be a good time to stack up and stop on the closures. all of those things are extremely dangerous for the motoring public. it's an not to stop unless it is an absolute emergency. the chp is standing by all closure points. once caltrans announces the bridge will be open, the highway patrol will stop traffic in the areas leading up to the closure so the workers can remove the cones and the closure indicators safely. once that's done, the highway patrol will run traffic breaks. we will slow down and guide traffic in the area previously closed. we'll let traffic build up to a safe amount the motorists that are the lucky ones to be the first to cross will see the highway patrol in front of them blocking the lanes and keeping everybody going at the limit. once the bridge is open, we'll monitor traffic. if we notice the traffic is becoming lighter and the speeds are increase, we'll run traffic breaks to keep the speeds nice and slow. we want to avoid people being confused by the new bridge or distracted by the sites and exceeding the maximum speed limit of 50 miles an hour. >> i was gonna ask you that. are
