well. right now, let's bring in sandra. good tuesday morning. i want to let you know that we have downed poles and wires on 92 on the westbound side heading towards highway 1. this is causing one-way traffic, mostly impacting the westbound side but we could see potentially people heading eastbound issues because of that. here's a look at the bay bridge. we are seeing it stacking up in the fast lane but still in the green. i'll tell you about a crash in hayward on 880 in just a bit. former stanford university swimmer brock turner is in santa clara county jail after receiving a six-month sentence for sexual assault. we got an exclusive interview with the student who witnessed the crime. >> my friend, peter, we saw a couple lying on the ground. and we were wondering what was going on, and we discussed it, approached them, peter did, and asked questions, and then the guy stood up. we saw she wasn't moving. we called him out and the guy ran away, and my friend peter chased after him. i ran after him as well, and we detained him until police came eventually. >> reporter: that is the eyewitness account assault that brock turner has been convicted of. i don't want my body anymore. i was terrified of it. that statement was viewed more than 6 million times. his attorney constantly reminded the jury that the only one we can believe is brock because she doesn't remember. the helplessness was traumatizing. the santa clara da's office recommended that turner serve six years in prison. judge aaron persky, a stanford grad, sentenced him to 6 months in jail. >> i felt like i didn't do my part in representing her interest in the case because of the sentence. >> reporter: from another statement to the judge, turner's father wrote the suspects recommended by prosecutors was, quote, a steep price to pay for 20 minutes of action. persky, the judge, is the target of a change.org petition. now to campaign 2016 and the race for the white house. hillary clinton is the presumptive candidate for the democrats. clinton found out just before taking the stage at a rally in long beach last night. >> we'll fight hard for every vote especially right here in california. >> mrs. clinton took to twitter after the event writing, quote, to everybody who has worked so hard, thank you. let's go win this thing. the white house is signaling that president obama's full endorsement of clinton could come as early as this week. bernie sanders's campaign is not ready to quit yet. in a statement, his representative said that the media should not rush to judgment and clinton does not have the number of pledged delegates to clinch the nomination and will need the super delegates. and a group is upset that brutal fights like this one that broke out on san jose sidewalks after a trump rally last week had cops seen retreating. now, trump's supporters are saying that they did not do enough to protect them from the protesters. but the mayor said he can't intervene because of a city charter. >> we recognize this is an election season and people come up with interesting rumors. unfortunately, some of them are false like this one. >> police have not made any more arrests. but the accusations from that night are to come forward for anyone who got violent. voters will cast for the presidential nominees and the u.s. senate race and other state and local measures. polls open from 7:00 this morning until 8:00 tonight and mailed ballots must be postmarked before today's date. we'll have a wrap up of the election results at 10:00 and 11:00, and we're always online. a man who shot two fremont police officers died of a self- inflicted gunshot wound to the head. that's the word from the alameda county coroner's report after the man shot two officers on wednesday. he broke into a fremont home and barricaded himself for hours. a s.w.a.t. team shot tear gas into the house that later caught fire. the body was found in a closet. the two officers are still being treated at a medical center in san jose. a boy visits his grandma and at a bank, she stabbed with a pair of scissors at a bank justice noon yesterday in san leandro. 33-year-old iyona hammond walked in and stabbed the 11- year-old boy with a pair of scissors. she was caught but police are struggling to understand why. >> she stabbed him from behind. the boy screamed for help. >> it's very rare that it happens here. >> jacob's parents are on their way from arizona. he is recovering well after a 90-minute surgery. relativessay all he wanted after the operation was a milkshake. california will be the 5th state with a so-called right to die law. doctors will be allowed to prescribe lethal drugs to permanently ill patients who want to end their lives and a physician in
