Apparently happened on van ness avenue in the tenderloin district croppers Michael Thomas in the city with more on exactly what happened. Michael. Well, Francisco Police say everythings still under investigation, but they tell me that that person hit by the bus did die on the scene, adding that they that the driver is cooperating. Take a look. This is what the scene looked like just right before 1 oclock this morning, you can see the drivers side windshield of that muni bus completely shattered. And heres a map on your screen of exactly where it is. It all happened near the corner of van ness avenue and ofarrell streets just west of the tenderloin area. The chp says the car that they were chasing was going the wrong way on 24 right through renda. Thats when it crashed headon with another car. There are no reports at this moment about how many people were injured. Just that they were major injuries. The Contra Costa Sheriffs Department is now handling the investigation. Well, a man has been arrested for a shooting that happened on the campus of Stanford University. A woman apparently shot in the leg early tuesday morning. The man who Police Believe pulled the trigger was arrested later that evening at a trader joes after receiving calls about this man with a gun. There. When police arrived, they found him in the employees. Breakroom police say the woman who was shot is recovering the motive behind the shooting. Thats still unclear. Was arrested on suspicion of murder after human remains were found in some asked to pull. The Sonoma CountySheriffs Office says Mark Sullivan was reported missing on august 24th. And on this past saturday, officers were called to mclendon lane and thats where human remains. Were located there believed to be that of Mark Sullivan. But the Coroners Office is still working to confirm that. Meantime, a homeless man from Washington State has been arrested in connection with his death and hes currently being held without bail. And the north they were learning more now about the 2 bicyclists who were killed when some wood came loose from a flatbed Truck Driving in napa. It was a couple visiting from portland, oregon who were killed. This was tuesday morning. They were cycling on silverado trail. Their names, christian and michele d they were both legally riding a side of the road when wood fell off the back of this flatbed truck and struck them. The driver is cooperating with the investigation. Well, the Santa Clara County board of supervisors is now limiting how much housing Stanford University can build off campus. On tuesday. The board voted to modify the Stanford Community plan which was created back in 2000 to guide the development of land, which the university currently sits on. The board voted to maintain the universitys current growth boundary and requires that they build at least 75 of their new housing on campus. The supervisors also decided the university can not get out of building Affordable Housing by simply paying a fee. The state has ordered the county to build more than 3,000 new Affordable Housing units. Now, if you are heading out to the coast trying to take advantage of that sunshine and warmth, i would keep and especially far distance from the water today. Were going to see are served peaking today. A very strong storm, thousands of miles to our west, out east of japan is still resulting in some really, really high waves out there. The risk of those sneaker wave surprising you as well as some rip currents. Id advise you to keep that extra distance from the water. Still go out there. Still enjoy it, but be very, very wary.
