know how they're going to do this. will cain has an advantage, he's a swimmer, but has had a week off because he's been reporting out in maui and doing a lot of hard work. pete, i know, has been training hard because he loves to win, but he lost at least so far. griff: i think something's slowing him down. douglas: at least we can see which one he is in the water. we'll be able to see them coming towards us. griff: look at that. the only channel you're going to get shirtless navy seals jumping off a barge into the river all for a good cause. navy seal foundation.org if you want to support will and pete and all the great warriors that fight and sacrifice for our nation. rachel: we're going to check in with or charly reporting on everything for us with a bird's eye view here. >> reporter: a fabulous bird's eye view, and i'm not just talking about the water, the statue of liberty. being surrounded by 220 very jacked, in-shape men who serve our country, i'm to not mad about a it. and i have to say i'm really impressed by the performances of our very own will cain and pete hegseth. i think pete, i have a feeling he's going to make a comeback. i think he's going to be the first one out of the water at ellis ellis island. statue of liberty to ellis island, another three-quarter mile swim, the same distance they just swam from liberty state park to the statue of liberty. the difference here, they have the current assisting them, so it's going to be a huge game-changer. that's going to be such a big help. both of them got out of the water, they were pretty drained, but you can see all of them making their way, and once they get to ellis island, they've got to get back up, do another 100 push-ups, 20 pull-ups and each stop commemorates a little something different, the next stop all of the immigrants who came over to america searching for better lives to really live the american dream. here with more about the freedoms and the civil liberties that we have here in the united states. so, guys, to lots more to come. i'm going to be on the boat enjoying the view. it's a beautiful sunny day here, and we'll see what happens. we'll see if it's pete or will out first, but i'll be the first to report it. rachel: thank you, charly. douglas: joking aside, this is an amazing challenge. this is a real grueling exercise, isn't it? every single time after the swim you've got the pull-ups, the push-ups and then back in the water. rachel: back into the dirty water. [laughter] douglas: careen water of the -- clean water of the hudson, what are you doing? griff: pete was saying you know what's amazing is we're hard velled and wowed by the fact that pete and will will doing this today, this is what navy seals do every day to be the front line of defense against our nation's enemies. unbelievable. navy seal foundation.org to support them. rachel: yeah. it's a great cause, and the boys are doing a great job representing that cause. we're going to move now to a a fox hurricane alert, hillary is barreling towards mexico and california where people are bracing for a once in a century storm, major impact expected tomorrow. griff: southern california is under its first ever tropical storm warning as historic flooding cocould cause landslides and mudslides. officials warn dams and roadways in the region will face unprecedented stress, expect storm surge could be as high as 9 feet. douglas: major league banal and soccer already -- baseball and soccer already delaying several games sunday ahead of the storm. for more on this story, download the fox weather app on any connected device. rachel: all right. we're going to move now to our 2024 presidential race. republican rival ares are prepping this week for the big debate here on fox news. and and as we are looking at what they all are prepping for, we also took a look at some stuff that vivek ramaswamy is putting out there that really is separating him from the pack in many ways. he's calling it his commandments. letz take a look at what they are. he says, thurm one, god is real -- number one, god is real. two, there are two genders. three, human flourishing requires fossil fuels. you think so? reverse racism is racism. five, an open border is no border. six, parents determine the education of their children. seven, the nuclear family is the greatest force of governance known to mankind, and eight, capitalism lifts people there out of poverty. nine, there are three branches of the u.s. government, not four, not the bureaucracy which he promises to rein in. and number ten, the u.s. constitution is the strongest guarantor of freedoms in history. pretty strong way to come out of the gate. douglas: it's really interesting, ramaswamy is, came from very low down expectations, i think, in the beginning i think when he first announced, you know, he's running for something, but he's actually, you know, he's third in almost all the polls -- rachel: second in some. douglas: -- second in some, and whenever you watch him on the campaign trail, it happened again this week a moment of his went viral, the interesting thing is and it -- and it goes to these ten commandments of his is we are all used to republicans and others in the primaries doing talking points. the thing is with ramaswamy, he does actually not only mix up the talking points, he also shows repeatedly that he can really argue for them. he's really thought them through from first principles, from experience in business, from the experience of making jobs, of creating a family. and that's what i think is really interesting about him is he's not just your sort of stock politician saying these things. every time he's challenged on them, he has a really intelligent, thought-through and, crucially, courteous answer. rachel: that was actually interesting you say that because what we saw there was a little bit of video from an exchange that he had with a woman who claimed she was nonbinary and sort of tried to put him -- it's a kind of gotcha question that usually gets republicans befuddled, and yet he took the question from this young woman that you see right here, and he said, listen, you're talking about minority rights. what we're experiencing now is the tyranny of the minority. and he really turned it on its face and left her really speech he is. but as you said, in a very courteous and polite way, and i think a lot of people saw that clip, it went totally viral all week, and i think it really caught people 's attention. griff: yeah. and there's a sense of authenticity to vivek that's catching poem's attention, why we're seeing the rise in the polls. he, like all the other candidates, and we'll hear it on the debate stage, vivek will be among them, what they're going to do about the problems facing america particularly starting with the kitchen table issues, making ends meet, not having enough money because prices are high because of inflation and iowa's governor, kim reynolds, talked about what matters to iowans. here's what she said. >> it's the economy, it's the border, the spending. it's just the lack of common sense, you know? we're pretty basic here in the, you know, we do great things here in iowa, but there's just no common sense anymore to the way that we're running this country at the federal level. but the spending, the inflation, so economy overall. the border. people are really concerned. we're experiencing it here. every state is a border state. we're seeing huge increases in fentanyl that's being confiscated, so think how much is getting through. that's really, i think, on the minds of iowans as well. rachel: that was the governor of iowa saying, you know, kitchen table issues, the economy, the border as you talk so much about, griff, and have reported so much from all having an impact. when you look at the actual poll numbers, vivek doing well, definitely leapfrog over desantis who's been quite a disappointment to so many of his donors and supporters in this race. but the far out and above winner is donald trump, and what that tells me personally is that people, the republican base is still not satisfied with how the last two elections have gone in the terms of unfairness, right? the russia hoax which undermined the first term for president donald trump and then, and we're going to talk about this a little later on with john ratcliffe, you know, all that was done to undermine, for example, the 51 intelligence officers who, you know, signed a letter knowingly lying about the information of corruption on hunter biden's laptop being russian disinformation. that sort of thing that undermined and impacted and many people say was election interference, that stuff people are still upset about. and i think that's why you're seeing donald trump's poll numbers not just because he had a great economy and he has a lot of great policies that so many of them picked up, but i think that people -- they can't get over -- douglas: unfinished business. rachel: unfinished business. no matter how much everyone says we've got to move forward and look ahead, yes, but we can't have a two-tiered system of justice, and we can't allow democrats to weaponize government so they can pick the republican candidate for us. griff: you're right. voters are very upset about what they perceive as the two-tiered system of justice because you have the former president facing 91 criminal charges which is the first time in history weed that a candidate, let a alone a former president trying to deal with the campaign trail and the if courtroom. but at the same time, americans are also in that dual scenario that's more traditional dealing with the kitchen table issues talking about and what they perceive as a violation of their rights with their kids, because we keep seeing these school stories. that that's why today we're highlighting this story out of new jersey. now, there's three school districts among all the school districts in new jersey that decided, hey, you know what? we're going to institute a policy to allow school officials in those schools to notify parents, you see the three districts here, to notify parents if their children are indicating that they're having gender issues and thinking about changing their gender or identity. and yet new jersey, the governor, the attorney general suing those districts saying, hey, you can't do that. here is a statement from bruce pa a dula who is the school, the lawyer for those school districts fighting trying to allow parents to be notified. he says this: we strongly disagree with the court's ruling and believe there are several grounds for appeal. significantly, ing however, the court decided to maintain the status quo, that is, to not tell planters, and to -- parents, and to not rule on the policy. it is not discrimination to tell parents if their child decides to change theiren gender in their student records. the law supports our position. so that's this fight playing out, and that affects parents across the country. it's in new jersey now, it can come to your state and your school district at home. rachel: yeah. it's so so interesting, you know, you study history so much, douglas. i mean, when you look at this idea of the state feeling that they own the children, this is the right out of the communist, marxist playbook. they see themselves as -- they see the family unit, frankly, as a challenge to the authority and preeminence of the state. douglas: yeah. and the idea that the family has to be effectively split up or have something put in between the members of the family. that's what's so shocking about this case. it is utterly shocking9 that the state should actually try, force itself into the family home and force itself into the lie as well, because that's what it is. identify written about this in the post recently again, there's all this stuff about people talking about changing genders. you can't change gender. you cannot change sex. there's a lot of -- sort of lie that the state is increasingly encouraging on people. rachel: but that's also communistic too. douglas: absolutely. rachel: it's a power play, i'm going to say -- douglas: something you know isn't true. exactly true. to demean and demoralize the population by making us believe things we know not to be true. but here's another thing on this, because quite often american parents say to me what would you suggest i do, and i always say the same thing. if your child is in a school which is encouraging this, you will see lots more students identifying as different genders. so there's a very easy way out of this, i'm not saying it's practically easy, but it is an easy piece of advice. get your child out of that school to an area where kids are not being encouraged into this nonsense. because you know what in it's all big in palo alto, new york and so on, much of this country has no time for this, and school authorities in america are not encouraging this. so take your kids -- rachel: i would beg to differ with you on, listen, i'm going to big to differ with you. in the public school system, now i'm in new jersey, my kids are in a catholic classical academy where none of this garbage and nonsense is being done, but if you go to public schools an even in the middle of rural wisconsin, douglas, that is what's so scary. these aren't berkeley and brooklyn ideas -- douglas: that's true. rachel: -- taking over the teaching colleges, they're turning out students and curriculum with this kind of cultural marxist, as you said, lies, and they're turning -- and they're really causing sexual confusion. they're robbing children of their incidence, and they're -- of their innocence, and they're separating children from the values of their families. it's happening in brooklyn, and it's happening this rural america. take your children out, but i don't think it's to another public school can, think the only answer is school choice so people have a true way out. and home schooling, exactly. griff: it's going to be an election issue, and that's why, as we pointed out, glenn youngkin got elected in virginia. you're going to hear more about this on the campaign trail. meanwhile, texas police saying an illegal immigrant is a person of interest in the sexual assault and murder of an 11-year-old girl, the body of maria gonzalez was found by her father last saturday stuffed underneath her own bed. investigators are searching for this 18-year-old guatemalan national who crossed the border in january only to be let free. he'd been living at the same apartment complex as the girl and vanished after being questioned in her death. rachel: our government is come prison sit in this murder. open borders are why that happened. griff: and progressive was featured prominently in the trial. again, no one was prosecuted over that. douglas: and you were forced to take civil action against two of the people who were recognizable attackers. >> i had to them off. so with such clear evidence and even an admission by the defendant, we are worried at this point that there is jury intimidation and an unfair trial that we have to question. and that's what's going on. douglas: and let's remember, the first attack on andy ngo left him with a brain hemorrhage in hospital. none of this was minor stuff. can i ask you, dorothy, i was reading through the >> well, i know how it should go, rachel. there's no legal basis for the cia to withhold the documents that are being requested. there's no privilege that attaches, and there's no classified information because there are no classified documents surrounding hunter or e biden and his laptop. as i said when i was the director of national intelligence publicly on october 19th of 2020, hunter biden's a laptop is not russian disinformation. that was the official position of the intelligence community, and yet despite that there was this coordinated campaign to mislead the american people and the american voter right before the election. many people played a role in that, democratic, you know, politicians like adam schiff and or you know, the current secretary of state and the media that supports them, and the department of justice and the fbi. but clearly, the intelligence community, specifically the cia, played a role in that. these 51 former intelligence officials, you know, not only put out this letter that was deliberately false and intention atly -- intentionally intended to mislead the american voter, but the facts and evidence show now, rachel, that they had help within the cia with actual cia employees who supported and solicited signatures for a letter that they knew to be false and was contrary to the official position of the intelligence community. so, you know, i'm -- i think, you know, i'm glad that there's focus on this. you know, there's been so much, you know, talk about a two-tiered system of justice and the role that the department of justice and the fbi played here, but there ought to be focus on the intelligence community because both in 2016 and in 2020 you did have attempts to interfere with the election. you know, i declassified john brennan's notes from 2016 where he briefed president obama, vice president president biden that it was hillary clinton that created the russia collusion narrative and in 2020, of course, the hunter biden laptop interference. rachel: it's just incredible to me. i'm glad that judicial watch is suing, but truly, the power of the purse is in congress. if there's no consequences to the kinds of things, the kinds of illegal and things that are really destroying our democracy happening in our intelligence community, i don't have any trust in them. i know many of our viewers don't anymore, and i think the only thing they'll listen to is to have their funding taken away. we have candidates right now, vivek ramaswamy saying, you know, i'm going to basically defund and eliminate the fbi. that's how angry the american people are. i want to move to a second topic that's also making people angry because the national archives which, by the way, has put trigger warnings on our founding documents, that's how left-wing that organization is, is now not wanting to hand over documents or unredacted documents that would point to, would help bring more evidence forward about biden. what should the happen there the? >> well, so it turns out the big high is joe biden saying that he had no knowledge of hunter biden's business dealings anywhere and particularly in ukraine and with burisma. you know, you have testimony a few weeksing ago from devon archer saying exactly the opposite and that, you know, he was in on 20 phone calls, some of those with burisma executives. but now the best evidence that joe biden was lying is joe biden's own vice presidential records that the national archives have where there are e-mails where his meetings with, in his official capacity as the vice president, the only person copied on that is hunter biden. not the president, but hunter biden. so it clearly shows that this is documentation that house republicans should continue to pursue. the problem that i have is, rachel, is that this is the work that u.s. attorney weiss and now special counsel weiss should be doing. it shouldn't be house republicans having to do the job of the department of justice and the fbi to investigate this matter. rachel: yeah. but if that won't happening then defund the national archives. those documents belong to the american people, and the representatives are asking for them to come forward because we need to find out if our president is compromised. we already kind of know it, but we just need the documents, and they're trying to interfere with an investigation that is of deep importance as we enter another election where they're trying to hide what joe biden has done and compromising and enriching his family at the expense of the american people. this is just disgusting. but i really appreciate you joining us today. we need to shine a light on this. >> you bet. great to see you, rachel. rachel: thank you, john. will and pete are on ellis island wrapping up another tough round of pull-ups before yet another swim and an update as they dive back in next. ♪ this isn't just freight. these aren't just shipments. they're promises. promises of all shapes and sizes. each, with a time and a place they've been promised to be. a promise is everything to old dominion, because it means everything to you. know how they're going to do this. will cain has an advantage, he's a swimmer, but has had a week off because he's been reporting out in maui and doing a lot of hard work. pete, i know, has been training hard because he loves to win, but he lost at least so far. griff: i think something's slowing him down. douglas: at least we can see which one he is in the water. we'll be able to see them coming towards us. griff: look at that. the only channel you're going to get shirtless navy seals jumping off a barge into the river all for a good cause. navy seal foundation.org if you want to support will and pete and all the great warriors that fight and sacrifice for our nation. rachel: we're going to check in with or charly reporting on everything for us with a bird's eye view here. >> reporter: a fabulous bird's eye view, and i'm not just talking about the water, the statue of liberty. being surrounded by 220 very jacked, in-shape men who serve our country, i'm to not mad about a it. and i have to say i'm really impressed by the performances of our very own will cain and pete hegseth. i think pete, i have a feeling he's going to make a comeback. i think he's going to be the first one out of the water at ellis ellis island. statue of liberty to ellis island, another three-quarter mile swim, the same distance they just swam from liberty state park to the statue of liberty. the difference here, they have the current assisting them, so it's going to be a huge game-changer. that's going to be such a big help. both of them got out of the water, they were pretty drained, but you can see all of them making their way, and once they get to ellis island, they've got to get back up, do another 100 push-ups, 20 pull-ups and each stop commemorates a little something different, the next stop all of the immigrants who came over to america searching for better lives to really live the american dream. here with more about the freedoms and the civil liberties that we have here in the united states. so, guys, to lots more to come. i'm going to be on the boat enjoying the view. it's a beautiful sunny day here, and we'll see what happens. we'll see if it's pete or will out first, but i'll be the first to report it. rachel: thank you, charly. douglas: joking aside, this is an amazing challenge. this is a real grueling exercise, isn't it? every single time after the swim you've got the pull-ups, the push-ups and then back in the water. rachel: back into the dirty water. will doing this today, this is what navy seals do every day to be the front line of defense against our nation's enemies. unbelievable. navy seal foundation.org to support them. rachel: yeah. it's a great cause, and the boys are doing a great job representing that cause. we're going to move now to a a fox hurricane alert, hillary is barreling towards mexico and california where people are bracing for a once in a century storm, major impact expected tomorrow. griff: southern california is under its first ever tropical storm warning as historic flooding cocould cause landslides and mudslides. officials warn dams and roadways in the region will face unprecedented stress, expect storm surge could be as high as 9 feet. douglas: major league banal and soccer already -- baseball and soccer already delaying several games sunday ahead of the storm. for more on this story, download the fox weather app on any connected device. rachel: all right. we're going to move now to our 2024 presidential race. republican rival ares are prepping this week for the big debate here on fox news. and and as we are looking at what they all are prepping for, we also took a look at some stuff that vivek ramaswamy is putting out there that really is separating him from the pack in many ways. he's calling it his commandments. letz take a look at what they are. he says, thurm one, god is real -- number one, god is real. two, there are two genders. three, human flourishing requires fossil fuels. you think so? reverse racism is racism. five, an open border is no border. six, parents determine the education of their children. seven, the nuclear family is the greatest force of governance known to mankind, and eight, capitalism lifts people there out of poverty. nine, there are three branches of the u.s. government, not four, not the bureaucracy which he promises to rein in. and number ten, the u.s. constitution is the strongest guarantor of freedoms in history. pretty strong way to come out of the gate. douglas: it's really interesting, ramaswamy is, came from very low down expectations, i think, in the beginning i think when he first announced, you know, he's running for something, but he's actually, you know, he's third in almost all the polls -- rachel: second in some. douglas: -- second in some, and whenever you watch him on the campaign trail, it happened again this week a moment of his went viral, the interesting thing is and it -- and it goes to these ten commandments of his is we are all used to republicans and others in the primaries doing talking points. the thing is with ramaswamy, he does actually not only mix up the talking points, he also shows repeatedly that he can really argue for them. he's really thought them through from first principles, from experience in business, from the experience of making jobs, of creating a family. and that's what i think is really interesting about him is he's not just your sort of stock politician saying these things. every time he's challenged on them, he has a really intelligent, thought-through and, crucially, courteous answer. rachel: that was actually interesting you say that because what we saw there was a little bit of video from an exchange that he had with a woman who claimed she was nonbinary and sort of tried to put him -- it's a kind of gotcha question that usually gets republicans befuddled, and yet he took the question from this young woman that you see right here, and he said, listen, you're talking about minority rights. what we're experiencing now is the tyranny of the minority. and he really turned it on its face and left her really speech he is. but as you said, in a very courteous and polite way, and i think a lot of people saw that clip, it went totally viral all week, and i think it really caught people 's attention. griff: yeah. and there's a sense of authenticity to vivek that's catching poem's attention, why we're seeing the rise in the polls. he, like all the other candidates, and we'll hear it on the debate stage, vivek will be among them, what they're going to do about the problems facing america particularly starting with the kitchen table issues, making ends meet, not having enough money because prices are high because of inflation and iowa's governor, kim reynolds, talked about what matters to iowans. here's what she said. >> it's the economy, it's the border, the spending. it's just the lack of common sense, you know? we're pretty basic here in the, you know, we do great things here in iowa, but there's just no common sense anymore to the way that we're running this country at the federal level. but the spending, the inflation, so economy overall. the border. people are really concerned. we're experiencing it here. every state is a border state. we're seeing huge increases in fentanyl that's being confiscated, so think how much is getting through. that's really, i think, on the minds of iowans as well. rachel: that was the governor of iowa saying, you know, kitchen table issues, the economy, the border as you talk so much about, griff, and have reported so much from all having an impact. when you look at the actual poll numbers, vivek doing well, definitely leapfrog over desantis who's been quite a disappointment to so many of his donors and supporters in this race. but the far out and above winner is donald trump, and what that tells me personally is that people, the republican base is still not satisfied with how the last two elections have gone in the terms of unfairness, right? the russia hoax which undermined the first term for president donald trump and then, and we're going to talk about this a little later on with john ratcliffe, you know, all that was done to undermine, for example, the 51 intelligence officers who, you know, signed a letter knowingly lying about the information of corruption on hunter biden's laptop being russian disinformation. that sort of thing that undermined and impacted and many people say was election interference, that stuff people are still upset about. and i think that's why you're seeing donald trump's poll numbers not just because he had a great economy and he has a lot of great policies that so many of them picked up, but i think that people -- they can't get over -- douglas: unfinished business. rachel: unfinished business. no matter how much everyone says we've got to move forward and look ahead, yes, but we can't have a two-tiered system of justice, and we can't allow democrats to weaponize government so they can pick the republican candidate for us. griff: you're right. voters are very upset about what they perceive as the two-tiered system of justice because you have the former president facing 91 criminal charges which is the first time in history weed that a candidate, let a alone a former president trying to deal with the campaign trail and the if courtroom. but at the same time, americans are also in that dual scenario that's more traditional dealing with the kitchen table issues talking about and what they perceive as a violation of their rights with their kids, because we keep seeing these school stories. that that's why today we're highlighting this story out of new jersey. now, there's three school districts among all the school districts in new jersey that decided, hey, you know what? we're going to institute a policy to allow school officials in those schools to notify parents, you see the three districts here, to notify parents if their children are indicating that they're having gender issues and thinking about changing their gender or identity. and yet new jersey, the governor, the attorney general suing those districts saying, hey, you can't do that. here is a statement from bruce pa a dula who is the school, the lawyer for those school districts fighting trying to allow parents to be notified. he says this: we strongly disagree with the court's ruling and believe there are several grounds for appeal. significantly, ing however, the court decided to maintain the status quo, that is, to not tell planters, and to -- parents, and to not rule on the policy. it is not discrimination to tell parents if their child decides to change theiren gender in their student records. the law supports our position. so that's this fight playing out, and that affects parents across the country. it's in new jersey now, it can come to your state and your school district at home. rachel: yeah. it's so so interesting, you know, you study history so much, douglas. i mean, when you look at this idea of the state feeling that they own the children, this is the right out of the communist, marxist playbook. they see themselves as -- they see the family unit, frankly, as a challenge to the authority and preeminence of the state. douglas: yeah. and the idea that the family has to be effectively split up or have something put in between the members of the family. that's what's so shocking about this case. it is utterly shocking9 that the state should actually try, force itself into the family home and force itself into the lie as well, because that's what it is. identify written about this in the post recently again, there's all this stuff about people talking about changing genders. you can't change gender. you cannot change sex. there's a lot of -- sort of lie that the state is increasingly encouraging on people. rachel: but that's also communistic too. douglas: absolutely. rachel: it's a power play, i'm going to say -- douglas: something you know isn't true. exactly true. to demean and demoralize the population by making us believe things we know not to be true. but here's another thing on this, because quite often american parents say to me what would you suggest i do, and i always say the same thing. if your child is in a school which is encouraging this, you will see lots more students identifying as different genders. so there's a very easy way out of this, i'm not saying it's practically easy, but it is an easy piece of advice. get your child out of that school to an area where kids are not being encouraged into this nonsense. because you know what in it's all big in palo alto, new york and so on, much of this country has no time for this, and school authorities in america are not encouraging this. so take your kids -- rachel: i would beg to differ with you on, listen, i'm going to big to differ with you. in the public school system, now i'm in new jersey, my kids are in a catholic classical academy where none of this garbage and nonsense is being done, but if you go to public schools an even in the middle of rural wisconsin, douglas, that is what's so scary. these aren't berkeley and brooklyn ideas -- douglas: that's true. rachel: -- taking over the teaching colleges, they're turning out students and curriculum with this kind of cultural marxist, as you said, lies, and they're turning -- and they're really causing sexual confusion. they're robbing children of their incidence, and they're -- of their innocence, and they're separating children from the values of their families. it's happening in brooklyn, and it's happening this rural america. take your children out, but i don't think it's to another public school can, think the only answer is school choice so people have a true way out. and home schooling, exactly. griff: it's going to be an election issue, and that's why, as we pointed out, glenn youngkin got elected in virginia. you're going to hear more about this on the was featured prominently in the trial. again, no one was prosecuted over that. douglas: and you were forced to take civil action against two of the people who were recognizable attackers. >> i had to >> well, i know how it should go, rachel. there's no legal basis for the cia to withhold the documents that are being requested. there's no privilege that attaches, and there's no classified information because there are no classified documents surrounding hunter or e biden and his laptop. as i said when i was the director of national intelligence publicly on october 19th of 2020, hunter biden's a laptop is not russian disinformation. that was the official position of the intelligence community, and yet despite that there was this coordinated campaign to mislead the american people and the american voter right before the election. many people played a role in that, democratic, you know, politicians like adam schiff and or you know, the current secretary of state and the media that supports them, and the department of justice and the fbi. but clearly, the intelligence community, specifically the cia, played a role in that. these 51 former intelligence officials, you know, not only put out this letter that was deliberately false and intention atly -- intentionally intended to mislead the american voter, but the facts and evidence show now, rachel, that they had help within the cia with actual cia employees who supported and solicited signatures for a letter that they knew to be false and was contrary to the official position of the intelligence community. so, you know, i'm -- i think, you know, i'm glad that there's focus on this. you know, there's been so much, you know, talk about a two-tiered system of justice and the role that the department of justice and the fbi played here, but there ought to be focus on the intelligence community because both in 2016 and in 2020 you did have attempts to interfere with the election. you know, i declassified john brennan's notes from 2016 where he briefed president obama, vice president president biden that it was hillary clinton that created the russia collusion narrative and in 2020, of course, the hunter biden laptop interference. rachel: it's just incredible to me. i'm glad that judicial watch is suing, but truly, the power of the purse is in congress. if there's no consequences to the kinds of things, the kinds of illegal and things that are really destroying our democracy happening in our intelligence community, i don't have any trust in them. i know many of our viewers don't anymore, and i think the only thing they'll listen to is to have their funding taken away. we have candidates right now, vivek ramaswamy saying, you know, i'm going to basically defund and eliminate the fbi. that's how angry the american people are. i want to move to a second topic that's also making people angry because the national archives which, by the way, has put trigger warnings on our founding documents, that's how left-wing that organization is, is now not wanting to hand over documents or unredacted documents that would point to, would help bring more evidence forward about biden. what should the happen there the? >> well, so it turns out the big high is joe biden saying that he had no knowledge of hunter biden's business dealings anywhere and particularly in ukraine and with burisma. you know, you have testimony a few weeksing ago from devon archer saying exactly the opposite and that, you know, he was in on 20 phone calls, some of those with burisma executives. but now the best evidence that joe biden was lying is joe biden's own vice presidential records that the national archives have where there are e-mails where his meetings with, in his official capacity as the vice president, the only person copied on that is hunter biden. not the president, but hunter biden. so it clearly shows that this is documentation that house republicans should continue to pursue. the problem that i have is, rachel, is that this is the work that u.s. attorney weiss and now special counsel weiss should be doing. it shouldn't be house republicans having to do the job of the department of justice and the fbi to investigate this matter. rachel: yeah. but if that won't happening then defund the national archives. those documents belong to the american people, and the representatives are asking for them to come forward because we need to find out if our president is compromised. we already kind of know it, but we just need the documents, and they're trying to interfere with an investigation that is of deep importance as we enter another election where they're trying to hide what joe biden has done and compromising and enriching his family at the expense of the american people. this is just disgusting. but i really appreciate you joining us today. we need to shine a light on this. >> you bet. great to see you, rachel. rachel: thank you, john. will and pete are on ellis island wrapping up another tough round of pull-ups before yet another swim and an update as they dive back in next. ♪ this isn't just freight. these aren't just shipments. they're promises. promises of all shapes and sizes. each, with a time and a place they've been promised to be. a promise is everything to old dominion, because it means everything to you.
