following show. >> gutfeld: true, not lying. a happy friday for me. yes, i just had an endoscopy. they shove a camera down your throat to see how stuff is working. that video's ratings are still higher than cn nshgs. but thankfully, they didn't find anything scary, except for dana perino's class ring. there's a few diamonds missing from it, but i'm hoping my proctologist will find those next week. but in order to do that procedure, they put me on a drug that knocked me out. so, forgive me if i make less sense than joe biden speaking without a teleprompter. but at least i know what it's like to be cat. anyway -- last night, a debate erupted over the brooklyn nets' guard kyrie irving who refused the covid vaccine. i don't follow professional badminton, but this is a big deal, new york city requires a proof of the vax for entry into the arena where the nets play. so on tuesday, the nets said irving won't play until he's vaxxed. he ain't doing it. what would you do? >> what would you do? if you felt uncomfortable going into the season when you were promised that you would have exemptions or that you didn't have to be forced to get the vaccine? i'm staying grounded in what i believe in. it's as simple as that. it's not about being anti-vaxxed. it's not being one side or the other. it's what feels guoed to me. i chose to be unvaccinated. it's my choice. i would ask you to respect that choice. >> gutfeld: what's interesting is not his reasoned opinion but how it affects people who hear it. it's now a pickup game of the shirts versus the skins. see what i did there? check out the debate on this intriguing program that features five panelists, one really, really hot guy, and it's on at 5:00 p.m., but i can't remember the name. rules are rules. this guy is wrecking his life right now for no real reason and it's absolute stubbornness based on nothing. >> jesse? >> geraldo, you're mad at this guy. >> he's not just hurting himself. >> he's -- >> you're being played. you're being played. >> you're being stubborn. >> let me explain. >> you're being block headed. >> you're being manipulated to disagree with somebody. this is an artificial division and we shouldn't play into this. this is what the mandate did. >> it's weird watching yourself on tv while you're on tv. don lemon does that to double his viewership. anyway, i fear that geraldo missed my point. that the anger he felt toward irving is not caused by irving at all. it's caused by the situation created by people in power in order to create conflict to keep us at each other's throats like joy and whoopi fighting over the last eclair in the green room -- they like sweets. the elites are trying to fight a proxy war with each other through the citizens. and unfortunately, it seems to be working. irving was trying to focus on getting a shot in the neck, not getting a shot in the arm, but geraldo felt genuine anger toward him, the same kind i feel towards kilmeade when he won't return my swim trunks. doesn't even own a pool. but the anger is misplaced. it's fury manufactured by the establishment who are scared to death of liability and therefore risk. but they're allisterified of you and me or me and geraldo if we happen to ever agree which is hard to do if you're looking at that mustache. that is a whole different kind of two pointer. little sports joke. but if we all got along despite our political health or height differences that makes it harder for the aristocracy to control you and for the video make a buck. the media loses power when we refuse the traps they set for us. we see it's egged on, that aren't true. cnn fostered the narrative and wove it to a racial conflict that mushroomed into a monstrosity of lies and politics. others who wish to pit the sexes against each other do so because it makes careers and academia and jobs for people in human resources. they do it with guys and straights, trans and guys, dogs and cats, fox and friends. conflict sells. that's why every good bond film has the villain. that's why the view and cnn sucks. we push it around on the street, they're raking it in with the click bait. if only we got along, their jobs would spin faster than a story on hunter's lap top and people's power would grow. now we're in new conflicts, vaxed versus unvaxed. masks versus no masks. you see it ginned up everywhere. the nba player, why get mad over someone you don't even know is making a decision for himself, unless it's something like talking loudly on a cell phone in a movie theater, in that case, stab the jerk. don't stab the jerk. that's a joke. but other than that, just realize it's cnn and biden administration trolling you and us. right now, it's kind of clear that someone who is young, lean, and incredibly fit such as kyrie and myself does not have the same risk profile as someone with a pre-existing condition. unless unbeknownst to mekhi rooe was dated cat. he poses no threat to geraldo or me or our families. i don't know what that means. but we're living in a time of conformity. if you don't conform, you're stunned like gerald nadler skinny-dipping at a public pool. if you feel yourself getting angry and you're given two choices, it's a binary prison of ideas. it's a desired phenomenon created by a third party. it creates content for tv producers and distracts the populace from the real bad things going on like crime, mental illness and relentless ibs caused by swallowing class rings. if we fight most ourself, we can't fight them and we can continue ignoring real injustice and get rich off of you along the way. so mandates became another tool to split us apart. but the media's argument there has to be a deep-seeded hatred amongst americans is much like al capone's vault. once you crack it open, there's nothing really there. once you see it, you can't unsee it. like when you see geraldo shirtless. sadly, there's no vaccine for that. [ applause ] >> gutfeld: welcome tonight's guests. he's a successful comedian, and actor. which means at one point in his career, he was also a successful waiter. her last name is italian for "talks too fast," outnumbered co-hosts, emily campanio. his novels are so delicious they should be in the cookbook section. "up in the air" author walter kearns. she's got brains, she's got beauty. and if you feed her beans, she's just a little tooty, fox news contributor. walter? the problem with this -- with this covid stuff is we cannot discount the -- by the way, nice to see you. >> thank you. >> yeah, i missed you. good to be here. isn't that cute? we can't discount the fact that people when given the chance to feel righteous, you know, from flight attendants to tv anchors will take that shot, right? that's why i feel like they're seeing. what do you think? >> when i was a kid, we used to read a short story called "the lottery" about a small protestant hometown i think in vermont. every year to make the crops grow, the farmers formed a circle, picked one and stoned them to death. so there's an ancient instinct for people to make a scapegoat pay for all of the difficulties in life in the thought that it will bring back normalcy if we sacrifice them. and today it's him. but you know i remember when mohammed ali wouldn't go to the vietnam war. professional athletes are people too. we treat them like paid circus performers. they come out, show they have a conscience, and they don't need the applause and acclaim we give them. but personally, he's made all of the right decisions about his body his whole life. he made it to the nba. i think he's probably still making them. but he's suddenly a moron is ridiculous. >> that's true. now the lottery, now you say is a bad idea. >> not if you want the crops to grow. >> gutfeld: exactly, some things take priority, jamie. long time since i've seen you. you've been living in -- still in fair bank, alaska. >> fair banks, alaska. that's right. i try to get geographically as far away from where i would be successful. >> gutfeld: well, you've done quite well. you're successful in your failure. >> uh-huh. >> gutfeld: what do you make on this story. where do you stand or sit? >> can i say first of all, i know you had the endoscopy and you're on some drugs. i'm on painkillers, this morning, i had access to some. so -- >> gutfeld: that might be the best joke i ever heard. but again, i'm really high. >> i told that joke before but no one could hear it because i was in alaska. i feel like kyrie is brave. i think he's a brave guy. and i think it's impressive because he's a rich guy. i think we can say, he makes $400,000 a game, i think i saw, that's true? for $400,000, i would take the anthrax vaccine. i really would. i know lebron -- stefan curry got the johnson & johnson? they're saying it's just as effective as having one of those circular band aids. so -- >> gutfeld: good to see you, jamie? >> good to see you. >> gutfeld: so much talent. such an empty space. emily, don't you feel this debate could be settled if we got rid of lawyers in the media? from the room? >> hey. i was just going to -- the media and a lawyer. >> i was going to say i shouldn't now, you don't deserve it. i think a disclaimer in the beginning passes legal muster, just saying. kyrie said it best, what would you do if you were told there would be exemptions, exceptions, alternatives. look at andrew wiggins from the warriors who applied for a religious exemption and was denied. we were told that covid negative tests would suffice for the athletes who chose not to get the vaccine. we were told that within new york city and the federal government. that encroachment keeps creeping. so kyrie could stand to use $15.5 million he will this season. that means he stand to lose it. what about the navy sailors who are being discharged less than honorably and losing benefits, losing their pension. these are hardworking americans who have served our countries that are losing everything that have mouths to feed because they chose to have autonomy over their body and made their own decision, religious or otherwise. if it doesn't pass an arbitrary test according to coach or medical examiner at the moment it's not approved. the mandate -- he's right. the mandate is what's difficult to stomach. everyone is stepping up against him with whatever platform we have, we should applaud rather than condemn. >> gutfeld: yeah, i don't -- i think it's the -- it's the edict from the government in new york forcing the team's hand. we see the government freelance the authoritarianism. the company's choice to do that, and you work at the company. no, it's the government telling the company to do it saying you can't work here. >> we watch that video. he says, it's my choice, i'm asking you to respect my choice. he doesn't say boycott the nba. he doesn't even say agree with me. you turn on the tv and people are like, no, we're going to talk about what a horrible person you are all night long, actually. it's a certain point that it's a psychotic reaction. someone say it's my choice, respect my choice. >> gutfeld: we're forcing people in the prison of two ideas. there's a million ideas, a million stances between aahh and hey. there is. i don't know why my hands are still up here. >> i like you high. >> gutfeld: i don't know what's going on anymore. >> i took painkillers too. >> gutfeld: why didn't you share. >> i threw my back out. i try to be stealth when i'm stoned. >> am i the only sober one here? that's insulting to me. >> gutfeld: it's like, if you got them, you got to share them. >> i agree. >> gutfeld: unless there's a friends -- >> painkillers on the back of the bottle said do not mix with alcohol. but i read that as this would probably be pretty good if you mix it with alcohol. >> gutfeld: up next, diversity quotas get repealed when it's time to put a team on the field. do i need to pretreat my laundry? nope! with tide pods, you don't need to worry. the pre-treaters are built in. tide pods dissolve even when the water is freezing. nice! if it's got to be clean, it's got to be tide. new projects means new project managers. you need to hire. i need indeed. indeed you do. when you sponsor a job, you immediately get your shortlist of quality candidates, whose resumes on indeed match your job criteria. visit indeed.com/hire and get started today. up to one million dollars. that's how much university of phoenix is committing to create 400 scholarships this month alone. because we believe everybody deserves a chance. see what scholarships you may qualify for at phoenix.edu to be a thriver with metastatic breast cancer means... asking for what we want. and need. and we need more time. so, we want kisqali. living longer is possible and proven with kisqali... ...when taken with fulvestrant in postmenopausal women with hr+, her2- metastatic breast cancer. kisqali is a pill that's significantly more effective at delaying disease progression versus fulvestrant alone. kisqali can cause lung problems, or an abnormal heartbeat, which can lead to death. it can cause serious skin reactions, liver problems, and low white blood cell counts that may result in severe infections. tell your doctor right away if you have new or worsening symptoms, including breathing problems, cough, chest pain, a change in your heartbeat, dizziness, yellowing of the skin or eyes, dark urine, tiredness, loss of appetite, abdomen pain, bleeding, bruising, fever, chills, or other symptoms of an infection, a severe or worsening rash, are or plan to become pregnant, or breastfeeding. avoid grapefruit during treatment. ask your doctor about living longer with kisqali. >> gutfeld: they care about the color of your skin unless you can throw the pig skin. yep, when talking about football, diversity goes awol. reporter ophelia jacobson spoke to students at the university of florida. they have a university of florida? and she learned that -- get ready to get your mind blown, diversity is a very important thing on campus. >> we're talking with college students about diversity quotas today. do students support these quotas and with will these students change their mind if we apply the same quotas to the florida gators football team. do you think diversity should be a factor in hiring decisions and college admissions processes? >> absolutely. >> they should have diversity quotas for college admissions which i think -- i think they have quotas but it's a good thing. >> i think it's an absolute necessity. >> as a first generation college student from hispanic house hold, it's important. >> there should be more diversity in every single field. >> great. what about when it comes to your perennial power house football team. >> what about diversity quotas on sports teams? college sports teams? >> no, skill based. >> yeah, absolutely. >> skill based. >> we want to win. >> we apply that quota to the offensive lineup for the florida gators football team, this is what the lineup would look like. >> that's probably not what it looks like at all. >> yeah. >> yeah. >> i feel like there's probably more skilled players. >> i don't necessarily think that's a bad thing these people are just better at the sports that they played. >> it would be different. when's the last time you saw a prominent asian in football. yeah, true. yeah, put down that cello and start hitting the pad. >> gutfeld: anyway, did the kids change their mind once they realized the double standard? >> did this change your mind about diversity quotas in other sectors? >> if you're recruiting athletes based on skill level, maybe you should admit students based on scores and academics more so than diversity. >> skill comes first. i don't necessarily think quotas are the way to go. i know they're unconstitutional, i know they're wrong. >> yeah, i mean, you want the best, doesn't matter who the person is, what their race is. >> you could make a good argument for why my reasons for school would be the same for sports, basically. >> gutfeld: i know what you're thinking, that kid in the sailor hat is adorable. get that young man a pipe and a can of spinach. but also deep down, no one cares about diversity if it means sacrificing success, which jacobson cleverly exposed. they learned more in ten minutes than they will in four years. [ applause ] >> gutfeld: i'm going to stop there. we need to save time. emily, like me, you're a cheerleader for the raiders. i still own my skirt, by the way. this is funny. this is great. we realize it's all a farce. >> if people don't want to apply quotas to sports because they want to win, then why in the hell are we applying it to the military and the cia and the fbi? remember those commercials. if people want to be equity and true diversity and inconclusion, which people do, we need to invest in opportunities and preparing people for it. it's not collecting people in the back end, it's about creating options in the front end, investing in school choice, eradicating the teacher's unions and everything else that choke holds the opportunities for admissions and things people are arbitrarily assigning boxes and acceptance. >> i think you should pick people randomly, regardless of age, weight, gender, i'm talking infants and grandma's in wheelchairs. one randomly super athletic person. i would watch. >> gutfeld: rsl -- the random sports league. >> i would watch and you don't even know what sport you're playing before you get there. that i would watch. that i would maybe understand. >> gutfeld: you were at campus reform. >> i was. >> gutfeld: they've done such a long way since you did it. >> because i did a bad job. that's why you hired me. that reflects poorly on you. >> gutfeld: yeah. jamie, do you have an on your writing staff for the shows you work for, do you push for diversity or are you racist? >> i haven't been in a room for a while because of diversity. it's more diverse than i was on. i watched the videos you shared. so weird. i couldn't hear a thing that the girl with the orange top was saying. i don't know if i have like an audio problem or -- i don't know. (laughter). >> god, i hope she's old enough to make that joke. >> what i learned from that clip if someone puts a microphone in front of you and there's a camera, they're about to make you look like a dumb as. it's never going to go well. >> gutfeld: yeah, why do they fall for it. walter, here's my feeling, two different worlds, sports and nonsports, shouldn't they follow the same rules, whether the rules are diversity or not, they have to get on the same ship, right? the contradiction is too glaring. >> what i don't understand about this story is football is one of the areas of american life which there is diversity. the only thing bad about that football team would be if they're all white. they'd lose. also, they sound like miss america contestants. i'm so glad my kid goes to penn. but lastly, what i was going to say is students don't know anything. that's why we shouldn't listen to them. they're at school because they're ignorant. i think they learned a little. but at the end, i don't know that they did. they seemed like they were just saying whatever pleased the interviewer. i don't think they're convinced of anything. >> gutfeld: i was convinced of something. that i like this drug. >> drug humor is wrong, i will not stand for it. >> oh up next, feel the liberals' wrath over your racist mask. >> gutfeld: if you memorized pi to 16 places, congratulations, you're a great big racist. great rhyme it's the left's new religion. solving for x leaves them asking why. through the wokester's theme, you see a white patriarchal past especially with the hes arabic numerals. want to focus on colonialism and privilege, but not the privilege that lets you waste $78,000 a year in tuition. a group of profession sores and students suggest calculus could situate race, white supremacy, colonialism and power and privilege throughout the course. i haven't discovered this much poppy cob since i stumbled on that nude beach for seniors. but, if the change is adopted, the glasses would be mandatory. one of the courses is called mathematics for social justice. i wonder what that would look like? >> hello, i'm the professor of numbers. take your seat based on race, gender identity and level of body positivity. the wait list for this class is a mile long. frankly, you're lucky to find an open chair. now, bying that ream, isaac newton, albert einstein, all mathematicians, bigots. do you know the apple that hit newton on the head was hit by a migrant worker. if you don't think math will impact your life, just wait until your wife takes half of your [ bleep ] sorry, mr. croissant, doctor? doctor, isn't math kind of the universal constant that unites everybody regardless of geographical and political affiliation? >> no, i think i have a problem for you that you're really going to love. 2 plus 2 equals get the [ bleep ] out of my class you white home folk. -- homophobe. >> i have on my notebook. >> that's enough for today. next week, why the nazis invented calculus. [ applause ] >> gutfeld: you're a racist. is mathematics like an emblem of white supremacy? >> i don't think so. no. this is the first i'm hearing of it. if the -- i think the woke thing is getting a little bit out of control. when i was in college, i wasn't even woke for most of my early classes. and i don't know -- how is this going to end? when i did take calculus, we all were taking calculus and i was thinking, gosh i wish it's more complicated with more variables. the train is going 50 miles per hour. the train is going north. it's driven by a cis white male. why don't you check the train schedule? >> when you say math is racist, it's like saying a specific language is racist because you don't understand it. but math is a universal language. anybody can do it. >> right. but -- i can do some math. but i don't need it because of my charm and brilliance in other areas. >> and i phone calculator. >> yeah, thank you. thank you. but this is the conclusion or probably not -- probably will get worse, of something where if you disagree, you're a racist is built into it. so someone could be in that meeting like, oh, i think math class should be about math? like you should be able to say that but you can't in this situation. people will say, oh, that's your privilege. it doesn't matter if you're white or not. you can be a white supremacist even if you're not a white person. >> gutfeld: that's true, that's true. shellenberger, who we had on last night, he called it second degree racism where you decide a group can't handle something everybody else can handle. so by looking out for them, you're the bigot, that make sense? >> it does. i want to use my oxford education for once. but these people don't realize is they're wrong in their own terms. our number system, the arabic numeral system was invented by people of color. it was invented by them. it was their greatest accomplishment. but yet they have no memory for it. half of these things that we say are racist or blamed on white people were stolen by white people from other people. so here's to arabic numerals and the number zero which they invented. >> yeah, my favorite number. and what -- what do you have to say? >> well, this entire thing is an illustration of what we are going through socially in this entire country. base college has 2,000 students. you pay $80,000 to go there. this working group consisted of five professors, five students, three of whom were freshmen, they're 17. it's absolutely ridiculous. to the point earlier where ignorant people were in school because they're getting educated. students are ridiculous. people are listening to them. that's a microcosm. one loud person on twitter shouts a ridiculous woke thing -- this person is cancelled, this person is racist. this is what it should be. oh, yes, absolutely. the emperor's new clothes. the emperor's no clothes. they ear scared of getting cancelled too. >> they're scared of loud 17-year-olds. >> similar, i went to oxford community college. i like math that makes sense. i don't just get rid of calculus. i want math that can be useful in regular life. math, say there's 13 of us. and we have a 12 pack of beer. you have to figure it out, right? 12 of you need to leave. because -- (laughter). >> gutfeld: coming up, they're taking shots at dave cha'pelle, but he tells them, go to hell. >> gutfeld: cha'pelle's special is still streaming and they have some employees still screaming. they want dave off of the air. he doesn't care. 1,000 netflix employees will walk out next week in protest for the company's decision not to remove the special. but social justice warriors are like mcdonald's ice cream machines, they're always finding ways not to work. although many toil from the home, a walkout will be the most fresh air they've had in months. they're especially pissed by their boss' response doubling down in support to cha'pelle in an e-mail to the entire staff, the guy who runs the media content company supports good content. they're fighting to erase the comedian because he defended j.k. rowling's stance on transwomen, meanwhile where is black lives matter to protest these jackasses. he had the gall to say this. >> gender is a fact. every human being in this world, every human being on earth had to pass through the legs of a woman to be on earth. that is a fact. >> gutfeld: news to me. so, in their mind -- in their minds, that's tantamount to a call for violence. but if they can't handle the truth, they should watch a sci-fi fantasy movie, like the fauci documentary. if you ran a company and 1,000 employees walked out, and it's not over dangerous working conditions, like, oh, my god, dangerous woke condition, what would you do? >> hire new people. >> gutfeld: there you go. >> it's so absurd. you have to imagine they were so deeply destroyed by this, i don't know how they're able to make it to work any time. and so that means they're probably not performatively and it's selfish and that makes you a garbage person. >> gutfeld: a garbage person. wasn't it a stroke of genius in the promotions department. they monetized wokism. the more outrage they generate, the more people go and watch the damn special. >> exactly. the barbra streisand effect. >> gutfeld: yes. >> i wonder what's the median age of all of the employees that walked out? what a luxury to treat work like that where you can scroll out where you want. you wear a button and you're an activist. what number job is this for them? probably no. 30. most real americans have to work, earn a paycheck, put food on the table and don't have the luxury of imposing their totally outlandish morals on my employer, so we'll walkout side and meet me at 1:00. get out of here. they're selfish. expecting an entire company to cater to the sensibilities is the most selfish way you can be. >> gutfeld: i would want to see emily talk like that for a whole show. i would. that's selfish of me. if cha'pelle was white, netflix wouldn't back him. that's my theory, but i don't know. oh they probably wouldn't. but putting it together with the kyrie irving thing. black guys are the new white guys. and they're -- they take the same amount of stuff from young people and woke people and probably -- and they're welcome to the job, frankly. i'm tired of it. >> gutfeld: you're handing over the reins. >> yeah, handing over the reins of the grumpy white guys to the black guys. they do it better. they seem to make a lot more money at it. >> gutfeld: it's true. jamie, you claim to be a comedian, what do you make of it? >> i tell you what, all i was watching, i kept thinking, i wish i had a netflix special. that is really good. did you read in the article they're walking out and they're working on zoom. >> gutfeld: really? >> yes. they're not in -- it shouldn't be a walk out, it should be a logout. it should be walking out of a movie and then realize you're watching it on your television. just working on just -- but i do, i love -- i love netflix. we have a tv -- we have a tv show on netflix. i love ted turner, he's the man. i do feel for him, though. i know what it's like to have a walkout. it happens every night when i do a comedy show. this is why i started to do alaskan cruises. those old people can't leave even fb they want to. i'm done by the time they get to the exit. >> gutfeld: all right, jamie. enough from you. up next, fresh from the fridge, jokes that miss by a smidge. >> greg's left ofs. >> gutfeld: time for the jokes we didn't use this week. now they get a second chance. this [ bleep ] is better than kimmel's and we don't even use it. as you know, the first time i'm reading these. vice president kamala harris was mocked over her science video for kids. i haven't seen this much bad acting since my honeymoon. >> oh, my god. >> it was filmed at the u.s. naval observatory home of many giant telescopes which officials hope will help her find a clue. joe biden was so inspired he pledged within the next ten years the u.s. will put a man in space. according to paul mccartney, it was john lenin who caused the breakup of the beatles. the age is showing because yoko ono broke up the monkees. meh. pete buttigieg hasn't worked in eight weeks due to paternity leave. that's almost understandable. so what's kamala's excuse. when asked about it, buttigieg said he wanted to lose the baby weight before being seen in public again. although you know you're an essential worker when no one notices you've been gone for two months. they would have released the info earlier except it was trapped in a shipping container off of the coast of l.a. so older new york mobsters are reportedly concerned their phone-obsessed millennial children are ruining the mafia, they signed up for the friends and five family plan. america's got talent judge howie mandell explained he fainted at a starbucks due to dehydration after a colonoscopy thachl's what happens when you ask the doctor for a venti. employees were concerned when they saw what he was pouring in his cappuccino. i don't know kr this is going. the new super man will come out as bisexual. but many of us saw this coming when clark kent was assigned to the beat and assigned to the arts and leisure section. terrible. and superman's new weakness will be changed from kryptonite to brad pitt. after -- after the spike in shootings, chicago installed 426 mounted bleeding control kits across the city. officials say that should be enough to get them through the weekend. terrible, terrible. while promoting a new book, hillary clinton said she'll never be out of the game of politics. the only game she still enjoys because it requires no physical exertion and for a lot of her opponents it's sudden death. that was good. like the michael myers of politics, except we wish she wore a mask. wow, that is harsh. this is one -- this is one book you can judge by it's cover. what's going on? this week, william shatner became the oldest man to travel to space. but the flight only lasted three minutes, he did have sex with at least three hot alien chicks. anybody found that 4 in 10 parents would ditch their children in coach if they could upgrade to first class. meanwhile, four in ten children said they would kill their children for chicken fingers. it marginalized students of color. sad news for the grand marshal, justin trudeau. that's a great joke. the rolling stones have dropped brown sugar from the set list of their current tour, not because of the racial lyrics, it's just bad for their glucose levels. finally, a loud prostitute was kicked out of public housing for being too loud while working from home during the pandemic. but she still allowed to zoom into meetings for cnn. that's it. don't go away. we'll be right back.
