Tobyhanna man arrested for homicide after Swiftwater shooting
A Tobyhanna man is in custody on a homicide charge after allegedly shooting another Tobyhanna man Tuesday evening at Swiftwater Luxury Apartments on Route 611.
Jamaine Wilkins, 49, is accused of shooting 38-year-old Prince X. Brown twice, according to a release from the Pocono Township Police Department.
The shooting, which took place in the parking lot, followed a verbal altercation, police said. The men were described as familiar with each other.
Brown was taken to St. Luke s Medical Center in Bartonsville, where he was pronounced dead.
The Pocono Township Police were assisted with the investigation by the Pennsylvania State Police.

Man charged in fatal shooting after argument in apartment complex near Lehigh Valley

An argument between two Monroe County men on Tuesday evening ended with gunfire and one of the men dead, Pocono Township police report.
Jamaine Wilkins, 48, of Coolbaugh Township, was arrested and is charged with homicide, police said in a news release.
Prince X. Brown, 38, of Coolbaugh, was shot twice and was pronounced dead at a St. Luke’s University Health Network facility in the Stroud Township, police said.
Officers were dispatched at 6:25 p.m. to the Swiftwater Luxury Apartments at 1940 Route 611 in Pocono Township where they found Brown, a news release said.
