Province moving to revoke controversial MZO in Stratford

Stratford asking Ontario to revoke ministerial zoning order

Stratford asking Ontario to revoke ministerial zoning order SHARE ON: Stratford City Council is asking Ontario to remove a ministerial zoning order. Council voted 9-2 during their meeting Monday afternoon to request the province revoke the MZO that would have allowed Xinyi Glass Canada to build a glass plant in the city’s south end. Stratford Mayor Dan Mathieson says council is listening to the voices of residents in the city. “It is important that council listen to those, and of course discern, and make decisions that represent the best interests of the long term for the community.”
