Province moving to revoke controversial MZO in Stratford SHARE ON: A controversial ministerial zoning order in Stratford is one step closer to being revoked. Stratford City Council voted 9-2 at their meeting on Monday to request the province revoke the MZO that would have allowed for development of Xinyi Canada’s glass factory in the city’s south end. Now, Minister of Municipal Affairs Steve Clark says he will be issuing the required 30-day public consultation notice to revoke the order. Clark made the comment after being asked about the request by Perth-Wellington MPP Randy Pettapiece in the legislature. Pettapiece says Clark’s decision to revoke the MZO also follows a letter he sent asking him to act on council’s request.
