Resolutions were approved:
Naming Beauregard Daily News as the official journal for the city of DeRidder FY 2021-2022;
Approve issuance, sale, and delivery by the industrial development board of the city of DeRidder not exceeding $18,000,000 of its taxable industrial revenue bonds and making application to the state bond commission regarding the Stine LLC project that would build a new structure behind the current store. Dennis and Wendy Stein as well as Jay Delafield addressed the council about the project.
Two ordinances were introduced:
Accepting the dedication of Johnny Joe Lane in the Memorial Park Subdivision (Public Hearing July 12), and
Allowing Allie Trahan and Courtney Veillion to place a mobile home at 325 Ken Williams St. upon purchase of the property (Public Hearing July 26).

LAS CRUCES - Authorities searching for a robbery and shooting suspect who fled from the scene of a traffic stop at the intersection of Union Avenue and Stewart Street on Monday evening say the suspect was not found on the New Mexico State University campus.
An alert from the university states authorities did an extensive search but did not find the suspect who fled.
The DeRidder City council met at 5:30 p.m Monday, June 14, 2021, All members were present.
John Reed from MedExpress spoke to the Council The Beauregard Parish Police Jury granted MedExpress a permit to expand to Beauregard Parish. Effective July 5 they will have stations at 305 W. 7th Street in DeRidder and at 12188 Lake Charles Highway in Longville. Med Express will be working standby for the Watermelon Festival.
Mr. and Mrs. Andrews addressed the council on behalf of the Twin Lakes neighborhood watch program and brought up missing stop signs, damages from the storms that has not been cleared by absent property owners, and streets that have not been repaved. They asked to meet with the city s code enforcer and Fire Chief Harlow as well as for an increased police presence.
