DeRidder City Council June 14, 2021

The DeRidder City council met at 5:30 p.m Monday, June 14, 2021, All members were present.
John Reed from MedExpress spoke to the Council The Beauregard Parish Police Jury granted MedExpress a permit to expand to Beauregard Parish. Effective July 5 they will have stations at 305 W. 7th Street in DeRidder and at 12188 Lake Charles Highway in Longville. Med Express will be working standby for the Watermelon Festival.
Mr. and Mrs. Andrews addressed the council on behalf of the Twin Lakes neighborhood watch program and brought up missing stop signs, damages from the storms that has not been cleared by absent property owners, and streets that have not been repaved. They asked to meet with the city's code enforcer and Fire Chief Harlow as well as for an increased police presence.
