A Lorain County grand jury will consider charges against a 24-year-old former Cleveland police officer accused of stealing more than $200,000 from the ATM company where she worked.

LORAIN, Ohio A Lorain County grand jury will consider charges against a 24-year-old former Cleveland police officer accused of stealing more than $200,000 from the ATM company where she worked.
Tyra Parker of Euclid appeared in Judge Mark Mihok’s courtroom Friday and pleaded not guilty to aggravated theft, tampering with evidence and obstructing official business in the Feb. 3 incident, according to Lorain Municipal Court records. Lorain police and U.S. Marshals arrested Parker Thursday after a lengthy investigation.

LORAIN, Ohio The United States Marshals Service has arrested a shooting suspect within hours of the alleged crime.
Authorities claim 25-year-old Luiz Roman was riding a bicycle Wednesday evening near Washington Avenue when he fired a gun into a moving car before fleeing the scene. An unidentified male victim inside the car was shot in the head, and his condition is unknown at this time.
Acting with the Lorain Police Department, members of the Marshals Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force located Roman inside a home on East 29th Street in Lorain. He was taken into custody without incident.
A Lorain man was arrested an alleged breaking and entering into a Dollar General.
Gustavo Ruiz, was charged with breaking and entering, a fifth-degree felony, theft, a first-degree misdemeanor, and possessing criminal tools, a fourth-degree misdemeanor, according to a police report.
About 3:57 a.m. Dec. 13, a burglary alarm went off at the Dollar General located at 2540 Leavitt Road in Lorain, the report related.
Upon arrival, officers noticed the front window of the building was shattered and items in the aisles of the store were misplaced, the report said.

As more officers arrived, one officer found Ruiz, pinned him to the ground and placed him under arrest, according to the report.
