ELYRIA, Ohio An inmate who escaped two weeks ago from the Lorain/Medina Community Based Correctional Facility has been taken into custody, but another inmate remains on the loose.
Kevin McKitrick surrendered to authorities Wednesday afternoon at the Lorain County Jail in Elyria after two days of phone conversations with sheriff’s detectives, members of U.S Marshal’s Fugitive Task Force and other authorities, according to the Lorain County Sheriff’s Office.
He has been charged with escape and vandalism, and is scheduled to appear Thursday in Elyria Municipal Court.

NORTH RIDGEVILLE, Ohio (WOIO) - A 38-year-old volunteer coach at Lake Ridge Academy in North Ridgeville was arrested for a sex crime.
Jason A. Dimacchia, of North Ridgeville, was charged with three felony counts of sexual battery, according to court records.
Records show Dimacchia appeared Thursday in Elyria Municipal Court.
He posted a $30,000 surety bond the same day and was released from Lorain County Jail, according to court and jail records.
