Younger adults worry more than older adults, observes Dr. Joseph Casciani. These pandemic days, if not always, everyone has concerns about their health and well-being. Yet, Casciani asserts, because of their life experiences and the wisdom of their years, older adults are more at ease. They have accumulated life skills and instincts to help them cope with stress.

With real estate prices climbing to all time highs, 36 per cent of young Canadians under the age of 40 said they have given up on the idea of buying a home according to a poll from Royal Bank of Canada. With increased demand and short supply raising prices, 62 per cent of respondents also said they expect most people will be priced out of the market over the next decade.
With the pandemic forcing couples to spend more time together than they typically have, some divorce lawyers are seeing a rise in demand. Ron Shulman, founder and managing partner of Shulman & Partners LLP, said his offices have seen a 40 per cent increase in divorce inquires in recent months. With many couples shut in and spending more time than ever with their significant others during COVID-19 lockdowns, some divorce lawyers said theyâre seeing a pandemic surge in demand.
Ron Shulman, founder and managing partner of Shulman & Partners LLP, explained that the combination of a work-from-home lifestyle and limited social gatherings have weighed on relationships, prompting a rise in divorce inquiries.
âAt our offices, weâve never been as busy as we are right now. In 2020, we saw an increase of inquiries by around 40 per cent some months, compared with previous years,â the family lawyer said in an interview.
Center hosts ‘Noble Purpose’ sessions
The Carlsbad Senior Center hosts a free series of classes, based on the book “Noble Purpose: Igniting Extraordinary Passion for Life and Work” by Barry Heermann, from 7 to 8 p.m. March 9 Tuesday. The interactive class focuses on “discovering your Essential Self” and meaningful endeavors. The class is conducted via conference calls beginning with an introduction describing the course and answering questions on Tuesday and continuing weekly from 7 to 8 p.m. starting March 23. Tip Top Run turns virtual this year

The annual Tip Top Run at Agua Hedionda Lagoon has turned into a virtual Tip Top Run and Ride for Raptors, which takes place Saturday through March 19.
