Center hosts ‘Noble Purpose’ sessions
The Carlsbad Senior Center hosts a free series of classes, based on the book “Noble Purpose: Igniting Extraordinary Passion for Life and Work” by Barry Heermann, from 7 to 8 p.m. March 9 Tuesday. The interactive class focuses on “discovering your Essential Self” and meaningful endeavors. The class is conducted via conference calls beginning with an introduction describing the course and answering questions on Tuesday and continuing weekly from 7 to 8 p.m. starting March 23. Tip Top Run turns virtual this year

The annual Tip Top Run at Agua Hedionda Lagoon has turned into a virtual Tip Top Run and Ride for Raptors, which takes place Saturday through March 19. The running and biking event will raise money for the Agua Hedionda Lagoon Foundation’s expansion of its educational program, including building the new Raptor Ridge on Cannon Road
