Digitas appoints Adrian Farouk to APAC CEO role Details 03 August 2021
Publicis Groupe s Digitas has promoted Adrian Farouk (pictured) to CEO of Digitas APAC. Farouk, currently CEO of Digitas and Epsilon ANZ, will take on the new role with immediate effect whilst continuing his leadership at Epsilon in the Australia and New Zealand region.
In his new role, Farouk will oversee the development of Digitas across the APAC region. Digitas has accelerated its growth in the region over the past two years, expanding its footprint from six to 15 markets since 2019. Farouk will continue reporting to Michael Rebelo, CEO of Publicis Groupe ANZ for his responsibility in ANZ, with a dotted-line to Jane Lin-Baden, managing partner of Publicis Groupe APAC and executive sponsor of the Digitas brand in APAC.

Digitas has been appointed by Pan Pacific Hotels Group as the group’s CRM agency after a competitive pitch process. The CXP arm of Digitas focuses on understanding customer behaviours using data insights, which in turn informs the customer journeys and engagement programmes.
Sincerity is the hallmark of Pan Pacific Hotels Group. The Group is known to its guests, partners, associates and owners for its sincerity in people and the sense of confidence that alleviates the stresses of today’s complex world. As the new CRM agency, Digitas will put the customer at the centre and conduct programme orchestration that includes customer journey mapping, email marketing strategy and creative as well as assume CRM operations such as data monitoring, marketing operations, technical and maintenance support.

Last week, ComfortDelGro officially launched its lifestyle app called Zig. Done in collaboration with digital agency R/GA, ComfortDelgro’s Zig is a mobile lifestyle platform that combines journey planning, transport booking and lifestyle discovery into an all-in-one mobile app.
According to Dorothy Peng, managing director, R/GA Singapore, the agency designed Zig based on “a consumer behaviour-centric approach and defined the opportunity areas for the business”. Zig was launched through a mobile app-first platform, and has been built upon a sustainable business model , said Peng. She also told
MARKETING-INTERACTIVE that the app was created after noticing a gap in the market in driving online to offline experiences - which she says, is something its competitor Grab currently doesn’t have.
