Plans for senior housing in Medfield proceed MEDFIELD – A bid to increase senior housing in town has drawn one step closer. During the Board of Selectmen’s meeting on March 23, the board voted 2-0, with Osler Peterson recusing himself, to direct the town administrator, town counsel and the Affordable Housing Trust to begin negotiations with Medfield Holdings LLC to develop Hinkley South, the town-owned parcel off Ice House Road, into 20 units of age-restricted housing. According to documents from Medfield Holdings provided to the town, 25% of the units will be reserved for seniors 62 and older earning less than 80% of the area median income.

Reply Al Manganello, Jr. - Obituary Albert James Manganello, Jr., peacefully passed away on January 21, 2021, with family by his side after a short but courageous battle with pneumonia. He was 73. Born on April 6th, 1947, Al was the cherished son of the late Albert J. and Yolanda (Iacoviello) Manganello. A lifelong Medfield resident, Al graduated Medfield High School in 1964.He excelled at football, and was a proud Warrior. Al enlisted in the Marines shortly after graduation. He proudly served two and a half years, including 14 months in the Vietnam War. When Lance Cpl. Manganello finished his tour in Vietnam, he returned home to Medfield and worked in the oil business, where he met his future wife, Lorraine.
