It is also about dispelling the myths surrounding registering as an organ donor. As an organ and tissue donor you can save up to 8 lives, transform the lives of up to 75 people and restore sight to 2 people through cornea donation.

Plans for senior housing in Medfield proceed

Plans for senior housing in Medfield proceed MEDFIELD – A bid to increase senior housing in town has drawn one step closer. During the Board of Selectmen’s meeting on March 23, the board voted 2-0, with Osler Peterson recusing himself, to direct the town administrator, town counsel and the Affordable Housing Trust to begin negotiations with Medfield Holdings LLC to develop Hinkley South, the town-owned parcel off Ice House Road, into 20 units of age-restricted housing. According to documents from Medfield Holdings provided to the town, 25% of the units will be reserved for seniors 62 and older earning less than 80% of the area median income.

Medfield may be facing another deficit

Medfield may be facing another deficit Wicked Local             MEDFIELD – Medfield has started crunching the numbers for fiscal 2022, and it looks like the town may have to deal with another deficit.             According to Town Administrator Kristine Trierweiler, Medfield is looking at a $2.1 million deficit. However, the budget numbers will likely change as the town receives a better idea on state aid, health insurance and other factors.             This includes police and fire contracts, which are currently under negotiations with the town.             Trierweiler would like to create a capital stabilization fund this year to help the town with capital budget items down the road.
