New Delhi: The Made in India corona vaccine is seen all over the world now. Many countries of the world are demanding the vaccine manufactured in India in the war against the coronavirus and many of them have been sent free of cost. Now Nepal Army Chief Purna Chandra Thapa has taken the first dose of the Made in India corona vaccine to advance the credibility and acceptance of the vaccine made in India.
Last month, Nepal received the second consignment of the Indian corona vaccine, in which 10 lakh doses were made available. The consignment of the AstraZeneca vaccine made available to Nepal has been produced by the Serum Institute of India (SII) under the name Covishield . Its emergency use was approved in Nepal in January 2021. The immunization campaign started thereafter India sent consignments.
Kathmandu: Nepal has started the second stage vaccination on Tuesday with the Indian-made Corona vaccine Covishield . According to the Ministry of Health and Population, the second drive will include journalists, diplomatic mission officials and frontline government employees vaccinated with the corona. According to the information, 300,000 frontier journalists, diplomats and government employees will be vaccinated in the second phase. A total of 430,000 doses of the vaccine were planned in the first phase, but only 184,857 people received the vaccine. The second phase of vaccination will continue till Friday and approximately 300,000 persons will be vaccinated in this phase.
Kathmandu: Nepal has approved the use of the Indian-made AstraZeneca vaccine Covishield in case of emergency to fight the coronavirus. According to a statement issued by the Department of Drug Administration of Nepal, the decision to sanction the vaccine was taken on Friday. About 1,950 people have died so far from the epidemic in Nepal.
According to the statement, Nepal has been given conditional approval for use in case of emergency of Covishield vaccine against coronavirus. The pharmaceutical company AstraZeneca is providing the vaccine to several medium and low-income countries other than the Government of India in partnership with the Pune-based Serum Institute of India (SII). The Serum Institute is the world s largest vaccine producer. During the sixth meeting of the India-Nepal Joint Commission, Nepal congratulated the Indian External Affairs Ministry for achieving success in developing Covishield and Covaxin and has urged Nepal to vaccinate at the earliest.
