Synopsis During a recent raid, 524 oxygen concentrators were recovered from three restaurants owned by Kalra and it is suspected that he has left Delhi along with his family. Additional Sessions Judge Sumit Dass also placed his anticipatory bail before the District and Sessions Judge which will now decide which court will hear the plea on Wednesday. “Bail application placed before the District Judge South East at 10 am tomorrow; they will send it to the concerned court. There is no interim relief or any sort of protection to the accused yet,” the judge remarked.

Representative Image ANI | Updated: May 11, 2021 21:48 IST New Delhi [India], May 11 (ANI): A Delhi Court on Tuesday reserved order on the bail pleas of Matrix Cellular CEO Gaurav Khanna and other accused in connection with a case relating to the allegedly hoarding of oxygen concentrators in a restaurant in South Delhi. Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Arun Kumar Garg said that he will pronounce the order tomorrow. During the hearing, the court also slammed Delhi Police for coming out with a government notification on May 7 relating to selling of COVID-19 equipment not above the Maximum Retail Price (MRP) but registering the FIR in the present matter on May 5, two days before the notification.

On May 7, the police recovered 105 concentrators from two upscale restaurants in the Khan Market area. New Delhi: A Delhi Court has refused to grant any stay on coercive action against businessman Navneet Kalra in connection with the seizure of oxygen concentrators from his restaurants Khan Chacha by the Delhi Police. Navneet Kalra, against whom the Delhi Police Crime Branch has launched a manhunt, moved the Saket Court seeking anticipatory bail in the case. Special Judge Sumit Dass has directed the Investigating Officer (IO) to file the reply to the application by tomorrow. No stay on Delhi Police s coercive action, the court said. The judge will take up the matter at noon tomorrow.

Meanwhile, fearing arrest in the alleged oxygen concentrators hoarding case, Navneet Kalra has filed an anticipatory bail plea at a Saket court in Delhi. The court has asked the Delhi Police to file their reply on the application of Navneet Kalra and the matter will be heard again on Tuesday. The police have alleged that with help of his friend Gagan Duggal, who stays in London and owns Matrix Cellular, Navneet Kalra was importing oxygen concentrators from foreign countries at a lower price and selling them at triple the price to people in the national capital.
