Court rejects Delhi police plea seeking extension of wrestler Sushil Kumar s police custody ANI | Updated: Jun 02, 2021 22:22 IST New Delhi [India], June 2 (ANI): A Delhi Court on Wednesday remanded wrestler Sushil Kumar to judicial custody and rejected the plea by the Delhi Police seeking an extension of his police custody in connection with the Chhatrasal Stadium brawl matter that lead to the death of wrestler Sagar Dhankar. I am of the considered opinion that no ground for the grant of a further police custody remand of the accused persons is made out, Duty Metropolitan Magistrate Rashmi Gupta said. The Court noted that accused persons have already been taken to Bhatinda for the purpose of recovery of mobile phone and they have also already been taken to Haridwar for the purpose of recovery of the DVR and clothes.

Delhi court sends Navneet Kalra to 3-day police custody in oxygen concentrators hoarding case ANI | Updated: May 17, 2021 21:05 IST New Delhi [India], May 17 (ANI): A Delhi Court on Monday remanded businessman Navneet Kalra to three days police custody in connection with a case relating to the alleged hoarding of oxygen concentrators in South Delhi restaurants. Metropolitan Magistrate Archana Beniwal allowed Delhi Police to question Kalra till May 20. The court said it is of the view that custodial interrogation of the accused is required for recovery of electronic devices used for the purpose of the commission of alleged offenses, to recover the remaining oxygen concentrators, to identify the other victims exploited by him.

Additional Sessions Judge Sandeep Garg reserved the order after hearing for counsels of both sides for hours. The Crime Branch of Delhi Police has opposed the anticipatory bail plea of Kalra in the case.
