A STATEMENT ISSUED BY THE BOYSCOUTS SAYS QUICK WORK BY FIREFIGHTERS SAVED ALL THE CAMP BUILDINGS. WAS CLOSED AT THE TIME. IT PROBABLY KILLED UNDERBRUSH, MOUNTAIN LAUREL, HUCKLEBERRY. The fire consumed nearly 150 acres of land, although no injuries were reported, according to an official.

A mountaintop forest fire that began Sunday afternoon at Camp Tuckahoe in the Dillsburg, York County area destroying nearly 150 acres is under investigation, according to a Michaux State forest official.
District Forester Roy Brubaker at the Michaux State Forest said the initial call came in at 3:30 p.m. Sunday. About 12 hours later, most of the fire units had cleared, with forestry trucks remaining to monitor the area for any flare-ups, according to York County 911.
Michaux State Forest spans three counties, Cumberland, Franklin and Adams. Camp Tuckahoe is a Boy Scout facility used year-round, according to the New Birth of Freedom Council website.

Dominic Andrew Booth, 18, also known as Big Dom, of Millerstown died unexpectedly on Tuesday, Feb. 23, 2021, at Hershey Medical Center. He was a super hero, donating all of his organs through Gift of Life. He provided other families’ loved ones to have the opportunity to have a second chance at life.
He was born July 15, 2002, at Holy Spirit Hospital, Camp Hill, to Harold Jr. and JoAnn Marie (Thomas) Booth.
He completed his junior year at Greenwood High School. He loved playing video games on his computer, magic cards and playing with his nieces and nephews. He enjoyed playing recreational soccer through Ickesburg and played on the Greenwood High School team. He was a member of Cub Pack 7 of Millerstown and Boy Scout Troop 7 of Youngs United Methodist Church, Shermans Dale. He worked at Hidden Valley Scout Camp, Loysville, for one summer. A well-known sushi chef in the Harrisburg region is bringing his creativity to Camp Hill.
Eric Tern is opening Takashi “The Art of Sushi” at 3300 Market St. in the borough with specialty sushi made from black “Forbidden Rice” as well as traditional sushi, teriyaki and poke bowls.
The takeout restaurant with contactless pickup opens March 9 and sits behind Rite Aid in the former Violin Makers Limited. Caroline Lai, owner of a handful of Asian food establishments in central Pennsylvania including Miyako Sushi in Harrisburg, is partnering with Tern.
