Diners recognize they can pick up prepared food - maybe smoked baby back ribs, filet mignon or poached lobster tail - from a nicer restaurant. Establishments, some that previously rarely catered to carryout, have stepped it up with online ordering, proper packaging and foods designed to travel well.

Facebook Share A well-known sushi chef in the Harrisburg region is bringing his creativity to Camp Hill. Eric Tern is opening Takashi “The Art of Sushi” at 3300 Market St. in the borough with specialty sushi made from black “Forbidden Rice” as well as traditional sushi, teriyaki and poke bowls. The takeout restaurant with contactless pickup opens March 9 and sits behind Rite Aid in the former Violin Makers Limited. Caroline Lai, owner of a handful of Asian food establishments in central Pennsylvania including Miyako Sushi in Harrisburg, is partnering with Tern.
