Sussex Tech baseball and softball were on the ball fields and the scoreboards were lit up. Later, the Ravens’ soccer team played Cape inside Legends Stadium. The Ravens won all three contests, but there were fans and electricity and lots of action. The Cape girls’ lacrosse team defeated the Padua Pandas on the Champions Stadium pitch. Cape’s girls’ tennis team defeated Sussex Academy 4-1, all courts filled up.

DAN COOK PHOTOS Dan Cook April 12, 2021 The Delaware Tech softball squad moved to 10-2 on the season after defeating Montgomery County Community College and Community College Baltimore County - Catonsville in twin doubleheaders Saturday and Sunday at their Georgetown campus. The ladies of Del Tech scored a 19-0 win in the opening game with Montgomery County Community College and followed with a 19-0 second-game victory. They kept the bats hot on Sunday with an 11-1 win in game one with CCBC-Catonsville and 11-0 in the second. Del Tech outscored their opponents 60-1 on the weekend.

47abc April 6, 2021 FELTON, Del.- Behind 16 strikeouts from freshman ace Madge Layfield, the Sussex Central Golden Knights shut out Lake forest for the 4-0 win to move to 5-1 on the year. The loss drops Lake to 2-0. After a scoreless first inning, the Golden Knights got the bats going in the second. Two doubles from Aryanna Briddell and Kaylee Verosko brought home two runs to give Central the 2-0 lead to end the second. Same score headed to the fourth until Briddell send her second hit over the fence for a homer, she had a game high three hits on the day. In the fifth, Katelyn Evick joined the club sending a homer over the left field fence to make it a 4-0 game headed into the sixth inning.
