Today, on May 23, the Korean Business Research Institute released the brand reputation rankings of K-Pop idol groups in total. These rankings are analysed meticulously and are based on consumer participation, interaction, coverage, community awareness and more. Each month, the Institute releases girl group, boy group and idol groups ranking in general, showcasing which group was the most buzzworthy in the entertainment industry during a month. The data collected for the month of May is from April 23 to May 23.

Blackpink continues to dominate the Billboard World Albums chart. It was revealed Tuesday that the K-pop supergroup s The Album held onto its No. 4 spot on the latest tally.
The latest album of Blackpink has been on the list for a total of 32 weeks. The Album peaked at No. 1 on Oct. 17, 2020, just two weeks after its official release. The group s Square One, Square Two and Kill This Love albums also made it on the chart in the past.
On Sunday, May 16, the Korean Business Research Institute dropped their brand reputation rankings for female idols.

What are the Brand Reputation Rankings?
The brand reputation ranking is an index crafted with big data brand analysis. The rankings helped determine the consumers online habits and figure out what affects brand consumption.
The brand reputation rankings also determine the positive and negative influence of an idol, the media s interest in them, the consumers interest in them, and the idol s communication volume.
The Korean Business Research Institute has revealed this month’s brand reputation rankings for individual girl group members!
The rankings were determined through an analysis of the consumer participation, media coverage, communication, and community awareness indexes of 540 girl group members, using big data collected from April 16 to May 16.
Brave Girls’ Yujeong held onto her spot at the top of the list this month with a brand reputation index of 4,053,785 for May. High-ranking phrases in her keyword analysis included “Rollin’,” “Squirtle Yujeong,” and “climb back up,” while her highest-ranking related terms included “model,” “happy,” and “thankful.” Yujeong’s positivity-negativity analysis also revealed a score of 80.46 percent positive reactions.

The rankings were determined through an analysis of the consumer participation, media coverage, communication, and community awareness indexes of 632 boy group members, using big data collected from April 15 to May 15.
BTS’s Jimin topped the list for the 29th consecutive month with a brand reputation index of 4,727,034 for May. High-ranking phrases in his keyword analysis included “Butter,” “sold out,” and “ARMY,” while his highest-ranking related terms included “record,” “release,” and “do good.” Jimin’s positivity-negativity analysis revealed a score of 81.07 percent.
ASTRO’s Cha Eun Woo also held onto his spot at second place for the fourth consecutive month with a brand reputation index of 4,680,395.
