More than 5,000 households were without power in the Princeton region on Saturday evening due to the thunderstorm.
As of 10 p.m., more than 2,400 PSE&G customers in Princeton were without power, more than 2,200 PSE&G customers in Lawrence were without power, more than 1,100 customers in South Brunswick were without power, and more than 900 customers in Hamilton were without power. About 165 customers in Trenton were affected, and a few dozen customers in Ewing and Pennington also lost power. Power is expected to be restored late Saturday night or early Sunday.
The storm brought down trees, utility poles, and power lines, causing numerous road closures across the region. In Princeton, Mercer Street is closed at Lovers Lane until further notice due to a downed tree. Police said to avoid the area and use Route 206 instead. Quaker Road is closed until further notice due to a downed tree blocking the road. Mercer Street is closed near Quaker Road and traffic is being diverted onto Hutc

Sips & Sounds is Fridays, 5-8 p.m. Enjoy wine and light fare.
Weekend Music Series continues all summer, with live music Saturday and Sundays from 1-4 p.m.
The winery opens at noon on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

The Princeton Mercer Regional Chamber will return to hosting in-person events.
The first in-person event on the calendar is June 24’s Business After Business, which will be held at Arm & Hammer Park, home of the Trenton Thunder. The event will run from 5–7 p.m. and will include light appetizers and beer and wine. It is open to both members and non-members.
The summer calendar includes many in-person events:
· Princeton Pitch Stop, a program of the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Council, will be hosted by Grounds for Sculpture on July 13. This event will feature pitch presentations from various start-ups with real-time feedback from experienced investors including Sean O’Sullivan of SOSV and Kelly Ford from Edison Partners.

LHT Saturday Morning Walking Club to Reconvene on National Trails Day, June 5 May 25, 2021
LAWRENCE, N.J. The Lawrence Hopewell Trail s Saturday Morning Walking Club will reconvene for its first group walk since last fall on Saturday, June 5, at Village Park in Lawrence Township. While the club traditionally gets together on the second Saturday of each month, June 5 is National Trails Day this year, so a switch to the first Saturday will allow the walkers to celebrate even more than emerging out of the coronavirus shutdown!
