Officers said they found a straight up verbal argument between family members, no weapons, no assaults, no threats. So they left.
A few hours later, police said, John A. Miller, 78, of East Pennsboro Township, killed his daughter and critically injured his wife. He is in police custody and has been charged with criminal homicide, attempted criminal homicide, aggravated assault and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

Though police had been called several times over the years to the home of a 78-year-old man accused of killing his daughter and critically injuring his wife in a Cumberland County shooting Saturday, he does not appear to have been charged with anything more than summary offenses prior to this weekend.
John Miller, 78, of East Pennsboro Township, is facing one count of criminal homicide after police say he shot his daughter to death and left his wife with life-threatening injuries.

And construction plans for new housing in the midstate have been moving forward.
Earlier this year, a developer unveiled plans for Freedom Square in York County, one of the largest mixed-use developments in the midstate in recent year.
And a number of other mixed-use projects are currently under construction including Blue Ridge Village and Susquehanna Union Green.
In Harrisburg, a number of developers are converting older properties into housing.
And developers in the midstate are building a number of types of housing: senior living, townhomes, condominiums, affordable housing, apartments and single family homes.
