East Pennsboro police looking for good Samaritan who provided first aid at fatal crash scene Updated Apr 29, 2021; East Pennsboro Police Department is asking for the public’s help in identifying a woman they think might have witnessed a multi-vehicle fatal crash on Route 11 on Tuesday in Cumberland County. Four people were injured and 58-year-old Lee Potteiger, of Lewisberry, who was towing a boat at the time of the crash, died at a nearby hospital, according to police. The crash happened around 12:08 p.m. between North Enola Road and Susquehanna Avenue. A Lewisberry man is dead following a crash on Routes 11 and 15 in Enola on April 27. Lee Potteiger, 58, perished in the crash.  At approximately noon on April 27, Potteiger was traveling north on Routes 11 and 15 towing a boat when he was struck head-on by a Ford pick-up truck traveling south. Prior to striking Potteiger, the Ford sideswiped another vehicle, before continuing across the center lane and hitting his vehicle. Potteiger was pronounced dead at Holy Spirit Hospital. The driver who was sideswiped and the driver of the Ford pick-up were also taken to the hospital for non-life threatening injuries.

The local fisherman had been towing a boat, that then came loose from the trailer and fell onto other vehicles. In all, five people were hurt in the crash, according to police.
