One man was taken to the hospital after driving over a bluff in Carlsbad Tuesday night, according to the Carlsbad Fire Department.
The crash happened just after 5 p.m. along Carlsbad Boulevard and Palomar Airport Road.
According to the department, a man in his 60’s who was the only occupant of the vehicle drove over the bluff for an unknown reason. He was taken to the hospital awake and breathing, authorities say.

Woman charged with arson in connection of Park Fire in Carlsbad

SAN DIEGO (KGTV) The suspected arsonist behind several fires that sparked in Carlsbad and threatened nearby homes has been arrested.
According to Carlsbad Police, 49-year-old Dawn Ann Crawford was arrested Friday on multiple charges, including arson of a structure and arson of property.
The blaze, dubbed the Park Fire, ignited in the 4000 block of Park Drive, near Capri Park on Jan. 20. Investigators determined that multiple fires were the result of arson.
According to police, evidence collected led them to Crawford, who currently is experiencing homelessness.
