Woman charged with arson in connection of Park Fire in Carlsbad

SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -- The suspected arsonist behind several fires that sparked in Carlsbad and threatened nearby homes has been arrested.
According to Carlsbad Police, 49-year-old Dawn Ann Crawford was arrested Friday on multiple charges, including arson of a structure and arson of property.
The blaze, dubbed the Park Fire, ignited in the 4000 block of Park Drive, near Capri Park on Jan. 20. Investigators determined that multiple fires were the result of arson.
According to police, evidence collected led them to Crawford, who currently is experiencing homelessness.
