Parry Sound Fire Chief Dave Thompson recognized a couple of local heroes for their efforts in saving lives in Friday’s fire on Albert Street.
Thompson was asked about the fire during Tuesday’s Town Council meeting, he said the fire was a fully involved structure with people trapped inside Friday morning around 10:20 AM near the end of Albert Street.
He said Fire Prevention Officer John Tuck happened to be at the old Victory School, right around the corner from the fire.
From there, Tuck was able to be on the scene very quickly and Thompson describes his actions along with EMS Attendant Olivia Parry (aka Olivia Ostrom) and bystander/Albert Street resident Steve Molyneaux as simply “Heroic”.
