Tubridy made the announcement, hailing the incredible generosity of the show’s viewers, at the end of Friday night’s show which took place on the eve of Pieta’s flagship Darkness Into Light fundraiser. By the time the show ended, over €910,000 had been raised in aid of Pieta. Pieta clinical manager Leigh Kenny said she was absolutely blown away by the generosity of the Irish nation.
