NOIDA: Be ready to shell out more money for buying properties in Gautam Budh Nagar as the administration could hike circle rates in some pockets of the district after a gap of four years. TOI has learnt that the local administration will soon begin an exercise to evaluate the prevailing land rates in the three revenue sub-divisions of the district Dadri, Sadar and Jewar. Circle rates are updated every year, usually on August 1.
From 2017, the circle rates in Noida, Greater Noida and other parts of the district have largely remained unchanged. But this time the need to revise them upwards is being felt as the three industrial development authorities of Noida, Greater Noida and Yamuna Expressway have jacked up the property rates over the past three years. In UP, the government charges 7% of the property value as stamp duty.

The data centre will be developed in two phases and of the total budget of Rs 6,700 crore, Rs 800-1,000 crore is likely to be used to develop the first phase. Once functional, the data centre is expected to generate job opportunities for 100-200 people.

GREATER NOIDA: The Greater Noida Authority on Saturday approved a budget of Rs 4,399 crore for the financial year 2021-22.
This is only a marginal increase from last year’s allocation of nearly Rs 4,370 crore. Though a whopping Rs 2,200 crore has been set aside as Greater Noida’s share for the Jewar airport project, Rs 460 crore has been allocated for health and urban services with an eye on Swachh Survekshan.
“Of the Rs 460 crore budget allocated for health and urban services, Rs 129 crore has been set aside for health alone. This is nearly 67% more than last year’s Rs 85 crore budget for health,” said Ravindra Singh, the Greater Noida Authority’s finance manager, after its 122nd board meeting.
