Some numbers for you, 14,000 people have been evacuated. Many of these people. This is a mexican and vietnamese neighborhood. They dont have other family members or relatives they can stay with. They are being forced out into two Evacuation Centers tonight. A lot of people in the neighborhood telling us that their voices simply havent been heard. Not just this week, but 20 years ago, when this exact same neighborhood flooded last time. That was 1997. We are about 20 miles away from the abdomener son reservoir. Thats the beginning of the problem, the root of the problem where the water has been flooding in. We have a team of reporters here along with me. Lets start here in san jose in the flood zone with nbc bay areas michelle roberts. A lot of people frustrated they didnt get text alerts that this might be happening in the last 48 hours.
