Developers have taken another step toward a boutique casino in downtown cedar rapids. Casino operator wild rose announced today its partnered with a newly formed nonprofit, cedar River Alliance for gaming or crag. Crag would hold the facilitys gaming license and give a portion of revenue back to linn all casinos. The move comes after state gaming officials rejected a larger project in 2014, citing a saturated gaming market. Members of the new nonprofit hope the smaller casino will make a difference to iowas regulators, who grant gaming licenses. I think that is the key to the key to the kingdom.
