So this is a National Archives exhibition to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the 19th amendment, but it is more than a 19th amendment exhibition. Thats because the 19th amendment, landmark Voting Rights victory that it was for women, did not give all women the right to vote. Millions of women were already voters by the time the 19th amendment was added to the constitution, but millions of women for reasons other than their sex remained unable to vote.
