Nilles was the top collegiate finisher at all four of her April competitions, capping the month with another extension of her own school record in the hammer throw at the Rock Chalk Classic. Her toss of 226-2 (68.95m) in Kansas currently ranks fourth in the NCAA. She also won the hammer throw at the NDSU Spring Classic (214-7), the Tennessee Relays (224-3), and the Drake Relays (222-6).

CLEMSON, S.C. The Clemson track and field program will compete at this weekend’s Torrin Lawrence Memorial in Athens, Ga., from April 30 to May 1, as well as the Tennessee Challenge in Knoxville, Tenn., on May 1. The pair of meets during the weekend is in addition to the Tigers’ participation at the UNF Invitational from April 29-30. “We have to go where we can to hit marks,” said Clemson’s Director of Track & Field Mark Elliott. “Georgia always provides a good meet before the conference championships, and it’s close to home and that works well because our group is still taking finals for their classes.”

Sloley Throws All-Time Mark at Oliver Jackson Twilight Wednesday ABILENE, Texas   Danielle Sloley broke the 15-meter barrier in the women’s shot put for the first time in her career on Wednesday at the Oliver Jackson Twilight Invitational by throwing 15.10 meters (49 feet, 6.5 inches) to become the No. 6 performerin program history for the event. Sloley entered Wednesday’s competition as the No. 8 performer in the shot put at Clemson after throwing 14.71m (48-3.25) during the Tennessee Relays earlier this season. Despite Sloley’s all-time performance, Veronica Fraley led the way for the Tigers in the women’s shot put by throwing 15.90m (52-2) in the final round of competition. The pair of Tigers finished second and third on Wednesday evening, with Fraley’s runner-up result serving as her fourth top-5 finish of the 2021 outdoor season.
