Death in what they believe was an accident. A car was towed from the driveway this morning. Investigators say shortly before 11 00 p. M. A 911 call came in from the woman saying she shot and intruder and then that she shot her friend. Watson says he was returning from a trip and was not in the immediate area, they think he was trying to surprise her, as she continued to talk to him on the phone she heard a dash barking and noises outside. When the noises continued she got her gun and heard someone inside and walked to the bedroom door still on the phone and when she opened door said she saw a shadow in the dark and the stairs and fired one gunshot. He was lying on the stairs shot in the chest and was pronounced dead on the scene. So far no charges are filed. At this time, Mercer County detectives continue to investigate. Channel 6 action news. One witness tells us two men tried to chase after them but lost him. Pieces of the car were scattered along the street that were later collected by accident investigators. Neighbors say it was a horrific scene. Then the mother came, somebody ran and got the mother and then she came.
