AN ISLE of Wight not-for-profit company is offering the local community free classes following a National Lottery grant. Wight to be Happy Ltd has been awarded the funds to run a series of five online wellbeing courses aimed at boosting self-esteem, building confidence, build connection and providing exercises for good mental health and physical movement. The courses are aimed at those feeling lonely or isolated, with the inaugural sessions, entitled Tools for Happiness commencing on April 29. These will be part of an interactive course to help people adapt to changing situations with awareness, openness and focus and to enhance a sense of purpose and connection to self and others.
