Tallahasse, Fla. – The No. 4 ranked Florida State Seminoles received the fourth bid for the NCAA Championships in Gulf Shores, Ala. starting May 4. All matches will be played to decision
The Seminoles are looking to win their first national championship in program history. In 2022 the Noles lost in the championship round to Southern California 3-1.
The first match will take place on Thursday May 4 at 1:00 p.m. ET against No. 13 Florida International. Florida State is 13-3 all-time against FIU, and played them at the Seminole Beach Bash earlier this season winning 4-1.

Tallahassee, Fla, – The second-ranked Florida State Seminoles will travel to Tampa this weekend to compete in the Tampa Invitational March 4-5. Florida State comes into the weekend 5-0 after going undefeated at the Seminole Beach Bash this past weekend.
The Seminoles will face three ranked opponents and two who are currently unranked in Tampa, taking on No. 6 Grand Canyon, No. 11 Stetson, and No. 3 TCU as well as Florida Gulf Coast and the University of Tampa. The Noles continue CCSA conference play with their match against TCU and GCU.
FSU will kick off the weekend on Saturday against Grand Canyon at 12:00 p.m. GCU is coming off a 3-1 opening weekend in Los Angeles, where they defeated No. 14 Long Beach State 3-2, CSUN 5-0, and Concordia (Calif.) 5-0, before dropping a close 3-2 loss to host No. 4 USC. The Noles are 8-0 all-time against GCU with the last meeting coming last year at the March to May Tournament in Gulf Shores, Ala. where FSU won 3-1.

Florida State beach volleyball standouts Maddie Anderson and Paige Kalkhoff were voted to the CCSA Preseason All-Conference team the conference office released Wednesday.
Anderson, a junior from Palm Beach Gardens, Fla., was a unanimous selection to the preseason team which she was also named to before last season.She earned All-Conference, All-Academic, and All-Tournament honors in 2022 when she posted a 31-12 record. She helped lead the Seminoles to their sixth straight CCSA Championship title and a No. 2 finish after reaching the NCAA National Championship match.
Kalkoff is in her first season at FSU after transferring from FIU where she posted a 24-8 record last season. The junior from Cincinnati, Ohio was named First Team USA All-Conference and an AVCA Second Team All-American in 2022.
Florida State is ranked No. 2 in the country in the preseason American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) poll released last week.
FSU will open the season as hosts of the Seminol
Florida State’s 2023 Beach Volleyball team will open the season ranked No. 2 in the country in the preseason American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) poll. Florida State reached the NCAA National Championship match last year coming up short against No. 1 USC for the title.
Florida State has won six straight CCSA Conference Championships and reached the NCAA Tournament for the sixth consecutive time in 2022. FSU is the only program in the country that has made every AVCA and NCAA Tournament since the inception of collegiate beach volleyball in 2012.
In addition to the appearance in the NCAA title match last season, Florida State reached the national championship match in 2014 (AVCA), 2016 (NCAA) and 2018 (NCAA).
The Seminoles will play a Garnet and Gold scrimmage on Saturday, February 18th at 5:30 p.m. on their home courts before opening the regular season by hosting the Seminole Beach Bash February 25-26th. seminoles.com
