I interviewed the bus driver before the chp officers talk to him. How did this happen . I dont know maybe excess speed . Was a bus driver speeding . The investigators are checking and see the they say alcohol was not a factor but they are lucky no one has died in this crash. Fire Officials Say six wind whipped fires covering more than 250,000 acres have destroyed more than 800 homes and structures. 100,000 people have been forced to evacuate. Oakland Police Believe somebody saw something. The 60yearold hit in one run victim has not been identified. It is surprisingly how people dont even watch for pedestrians. Reporter he says he had his own closed call. I was hit almost by a motorcycle. Reporter one half of a block from where we are standing, a sixyearold woman lost her life the victim of a hit and run. She was run down as she walked across 14th street and the 400 block. The driver fled the scene in a fourdoor sedan. The investigation closed a one block stretch for hours leaving investigators saying even crosswalks can be dangerous. Even when it says its okay for me to walk i still look left and right.
