Liberty Kitchen, 4224 San Felipe, 963 Bunker Hill, kicks off its newest wine dinner series with Prisoner WIne Company, offered now through Valentine s Day at both the River Oaks and Memorial locations. The four-course, wine-paired dinner ($99 per guest) features seared scallop with citrus confit, poached pear and candied almonds with sweet basil puree, steak and lobster petites with truffle mashed potatoes and brandy peppercorn sauce, and chocolate covered strawberries with vanilla bean Chantilly.

Nelson has previous experience working for the Ritz Carlton hotel group, Valencia Hotel Group, The RK Group and most recently as executive chef and managing partner at Number 13 in Galveston.

NEW ORLEANS (press release) – Executive Chef Ryan Prewitt and Chef de Cuisine Nicole Mills have announced a special menu will be served at Pêche Seafood Grill this New Year’s Eve. The pre-fixe menu will showcase Filipino food using local ingredients with a focus on Gulf seafood. Chef Nicole was born and raised in the Philippines. She grew up in a small town called Cagayan de Oro, in Northern Mindanao, where her family owned a bakery. Culinary traditions have always been part of the Filipino culture, and Chef Nicole is honored to share her heritage through this special menu. The five-course menu is $75 (+ tax) per person, and reservations are now available online at pecherestaurant.com.
