The Golden Gate Bridge, swallowed up by the fog, and low 60s in oakland and livermore and san jose. Here is a look at how much cooler we are, areas over napa, san jose, concord, and livermore, 5 to 7 degrees. So a noticeable one, and in the afternoon, a reversal. And across the bay, patchy fog reported over the north bay. You can see visibility is pretty good for the central and south bay locations. Thats moderate shaking in you were in the immediate epicenter of this earthquake. Now, as we get a wider look, we dont often hear about the greenville fault. So where is it located . Its just next to the diablo fault. You can see the hayward fault is quite a ways away. The last major event was a 5. 8 in 1980 near livermore. Its capable of producing 6. 0 to 6. 9 events. According to the usgs there is only a 3 chance of a 6. 7 event on this fault over the next 30 years. A wider look shows shaking from this felt up to the north bay through the peninsula, and, of course, throughout all of the east bay. I do want to show you when it comes to earthquakes, we rank it on the mercalli intensity shaking scale. It was a moderate shaking intensity, a 5, which means some unstable objects might have fallen off of some shelves. We do know that theres been an ongoing years long federal abuse investigation going on here and years ago to eventually lead charges against the former warden and other employees. They were removed from the premises at the time today weve been made aware fbi agents stopped by again this time searching and taking computers and documents were also told. But the current warden associate warden and the captain were removed from the facility today.
