Reopening plans. This is ktvu fox 2 news at 6 00. We begin tonight with a developing story out of San Francisco. Three people were rescued from a boat that capsized near alcatraz, about 3 00 this afternoon. Marine units from San Francisco fire and the u. S. Coast guard took heart in the search which Authorities Say involved a 12 foot boat that began taking on water. Authorities say two of the people on board were rescued by another boat in the area, a third person was later found on the shoreline of alcatraz island. All three were evaluated by paramedics, and are said to be okay. Rescuers pulled a body from the ocean near sutro baths in San Francisco earlier today. The call came in at 8 45 this morning. A person in need of assistance, the u. S. Coast guard was called in to help with the recovery of the body. Expansive i update to those red flag warnings now for areas of the east bay and the coast and addition to what we saw in the north bay yesterday as winds further spread across the bay area. Upping that fire danger for more and more areas as for this morning skies are clear beautiful start to the morning. But unfortunately we are seeing those red flag warnings now in effect for areas right along the coastline all the inland east bay and upper elevations too its not just today, but red flag warnings through friday as winds continue to gust into a range of 10 to 20 Miles Per Hour for most areas. Pete gust that mountain tops and this is the concerning part right here up to 40 Miles Per Hour. So in those more exposed mountainous and often forested areas thats where you have that greatest concern for a fast moving fire should there be a spark. On the forecast absolutely guys its the weather. The hot weather the dry conditions were still in the midst of. And then of course the winds that have been persistent so far this week and will remain throughout the rest of the week too clear skies towards the coast than we have seen in previous days. But a little less marine layer means that we even do have red flag warnings now in effect for summer coastal spots like Half Moon Bay, upper elevations on the peninsula. All of the inland east bay and those same areas as we had been saying up in the north bay so more red flag warnings as winds do gradually spread across the rest of the bay area, north northeast winds at 10 to 20 Miles Per Hour mostly but upper elevations that are more exposed to those higher gusts could see gusts as high as 40 Miles Per Hour all the way through friday. In a couple more warm days to come as well. Nice clear skies above San Francisco really no fog and very minimal marine layer this morning that does result in dry conditions across the bay, another warm one and of course winds spreading across the region now red flag warnings for coastal spots in the peninsula up into the Santa Cruz Mountains all of the inland east bay and then those same areas of the north bay that we had been seeing them, upper elevations exposed to our highest wind gusts as much as 40 Miles Per Hour. Well gusts, mostly in a 10 to 20 Miles Per Hour range, relatively calm for parts of the bay this morning but look at where we are heading this afternoon wind speeds really start to increase areas like San Francisco oakland and hayward seeing gusts well into a 20 mile per hour range at times same for inland spots in those upper elevations as i mentioned prone to even higher gusts.
